Wife is paying for it and wants to see the Taylor fight. Other than that, is there another on the card worth giving up my precious Sunday for?

Ruiz is going to be completely immobile and that’s the perfect opponent for Joshua. Can’t see any shades of Lewis v Rahman and certainly not Tyson v Douglas. Based on the weigh-in, he’s done his training and looks in perfect nick. I will be putting a moderate amount on 1 or 2 round KO.

He’s got very very fast hands, fast feet, very good varied and fast combinations, great chin, good jab and punches on his way in and on way out and with plenty of lateral and head movement to go with it, he will cause plenty of problems imo, his undoing and what will let him down will be he just won’t be big enough that’s it, what gives anyone the opinion that this will be a 1-2 round blowout is beyond me, Joshua stoppage % on his record doesn’t tell the full story, he’s most certainly not a 1 punch knockout artist or massive concussive puncher to take Ruiz out imo who has never shown any signs of fragility in that department, also Joshua’s inactivity and fighting a smaller, more mobile and faster man will add to problems, Ruiz has spent his while fighting career fighting bigger men hence the way he works his way in beyond his jab and head movement so it’s nothing new to him, I’m personally not sold on Joshua, for me it is only a matter of time before he comes a cropper, he’s lucky in many ways the era that he is in with the other heavyweights about, fury beats him easily and I’ve always said it, for me Joshua is a modern Frank Bruno, just my opinion not saying I’m right but it’s just what I think

The only real risk for Joshua is gassing like he almost did versus Wlad. If he starts breathing out of his arse Ruiz will do him. His cardio is excellent for his size.
