Middleweight fighting guy who should be light heavyweight. I’m sure this will be competitive. Smith is gonna kill him.

“I believe at 168 fight some of the champions, hopefully wait for the Canelo fight,” Smith told DAZN’s Ak & Barak following an open workout Tuesday in Manhattan. “And then, when I’m fully satisfied, then move up to 175. One, seven-five is definitely a possibility, but there’s still stuff to achieve at 168. So, I’ll stay at 168 for as long as I can.”

“The fight you’re speaking about with Canelo, I slip up Saturday night, they don’t happen,” Smith said. “They’re gone. So, that keeps me motivated. I have to come through this weekend to keep them possible, massive, massive fights alive. So, I’m fully focused on June 1st. Then, it’s exciting to be entering the ring as a world champion for the first time. So that’s giving me a little buzz as well. I’m in a good place. I’ve had a very good training camp and I’m ready to perform.”

“I think 175 is a very good division,” Smith said. “It’s very interesting because there’s no standout, No. 1. They’re all probably as good as each other and if they were all to – if four champions went to a tournament, I don’t know who I’d back to win it. They’re all pretty good and pretty similar. But, you know, it’s a very good division and one that I look forward to entering in a year or two’s time. But 168’s my division now and I wanna stamp me authority on it.”

A middleweight who gets dropped a lot as well. I'll be shocked if this goes past 6.

I'd like Smith to retire if he is fighting NDam after 8 months out he and Gallagher have wasted what could have been a good career.

Can't make super middleweight for much longer.

Smith would be very big size wise against Canelo -unless he asks for another weight allowance after weigh in like he did for Jacobs.

Smith looked good, N'dam massively out of his depth though, too small for a monster SMW like Smith, 2 quality counter left hooks for the first 2 knockdowns, the KD in the 2nd looked a bigger shot but it was KD in the 1st that really scrambled N'dam's brains, if there was 30 seconds left i'd have expected Smith to finish him off there and then, N'Dam really tried to put it on Smoth after getting decked the second time but Smith kept composed, cracking short right hand to stop N'Dam , his head battered off the canvas and his legs were gone

That's the cobwebs blown off, hope Eddie keeps his word and gets Smith out another twice before the years out

Smith was the only Matchroom boxer to really perform last night. (unless you count Coyle, who did exactly what most of us expected)

The Bjs fight won't be happening, Saunders knows it, which is why he is so confident in calling him out.

I'd like to see Smith fight Canelo, Golovkin or one of the other two champions next. He probably only has two fights left at 168,I hope he doesn't waste them.

That was an utter waste of a chunk of Smith’s career. Absolutely nothing gained with that.

This was a total physical mismatch, how can Smith compete in supermiddle? This guys if a fully fledged cruiserweight in the ring!

He's obviously good but how would he fare against guys that can take his power?

Even given the context of who he was fighting I was really impressed by Smith's shot selection and composure. Really crisp punching: great counter left hooks and that right-hand finish was superb.

If he can make 168 safely - take the advantage as he’s massive at the weight.

Not many SMW going to live with him.

The manner of Smith's win was highly impressive. Lots of good champions should beat certain opponents, but don't end up impressing sometimes....Smith did the job in style.

I repeat; it was an utter waste of time on every level. Nothing whatsoever can be determined by Smith popping a Weeble Wobble.
