What a massive mismatch. Khan will be rubbing his hands together but this fight should never have been made. The Indian fella wouldn’t be able to win a southern area title.

There’s only 1 purpose of this fight.

Rather it had just been an exhibition. But hey

Probably a commemorative belt. Never to be defended.

Can’t wait to see it.

Absolutely - but if Sheikh Abdul’s going to pay you 7m US for fighting a guy your 20 levels above - you can’t blame him for taking easiest payday ever.

I noticed Eddie had been asked about supporting the undercard.

Eddie would jump at the opportunity.

Khan only got clipped once by a man levels below him in Prescott. He discovered his weakness there, and has never been beaten by a man below his level since. Khan has a glass jaw yes, but only elite fighters can find the openings to crack it. Khan will destroy this kid.

I still find it amazing that Khan has not fought Floyd or Manny over his career when everyone else got a shot. He’s always wanted both fights, but they’ve avoided him weirdly as that sounds. Why? Speed kills. If Khan avoids being clipped, he outboxes you, with the Peterson fight his only decision loss, but you can argue the points deductions there.

Khan turned down Pacman and fought Paulie Malignaggi instead. He wasn't in any rush to fight that version of Manny.

Amnesty International have described the Saudi human rights record as "abysmal", adding that the nation is in the "grip of a sweeping crackdown against critics of the government", and implored Khan to travel there with his "eyes firmly open".

"When I was there last, it had all changed. I started seeing women not wearing head scarves. Women were out driving," Khan told reporters in London on Thursday.

"They had a huge concert where everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves. I'd never seen that side of Saudi Arabia before.
"Maybe now they are changing to make it that new place where people can enjoy themselves and it's fair for women. I think they're trying to change now."

Khan's pay for the fight is £3 million more than he earned against Crawford and he conceded that was a major consideration in his decision.

"They are throwing a lot of money on to the table, and at the end of the day we are prizefighters. For me, I would be stupid to not take this opportunity," he said.

"I didn't get involved in the negotiation side. If they told me to fight on the moon. I'm one of those who will fight wherever.

"The offer came on to the desk and we took a look at it. It makes sense for me, especially because I want a quick turnaround between fights.

"The prime minister of Pakistan will be attending which is huge. It would be amazing if we can get the Prime Minister of England as well. I'm a British Pakistani and it's great to have that backing from Pakistan."

World ranked Filipino featherweight Dave Penalosa gets the break and world-wide exposure that he and his team have been aiming at.

The unbeaten 28-year-old Dave -- son of former world champion Dodie Boy Penalosa -- has been slated to star in the undercard of the show headlined by two-time world champion Amir "King" Khan against Indian star Neeraj Goyat for the WBC "Pearl" welterweight title, a major boxing event set for Friday, July 12, at the King Abdullah Sports Stadium, in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

It's the golden chance for Dave Penalosa (15-0, 11 KO's) to showcase his skills, power and boxing talent before an amazing audience that includes Prime Ministers and Saudi royalty.

The opponent for "The Hunter" is still on the works, but Dave's participation in the Saudi boxing event is 100% confirmed, according to Dave's promoter and uncle, two division world champion Gerry Penalosa.

"We are very happy about this great opportunity for my nephew Dave," says the ever popular Gerry.

"We know that he will do his very best. Dave knows that he has our love and support forever."

Dave Penalosa, born in Cebu City, is trained by his father, two-time world champion Dodie Boy Penalosa, a beloved and much-appreciated figure in Filipino boxing.

The show July 12 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is a production of Super Boxing League (SBL), endorsed by the Saudi Sports Authority.
