Sorry, you surely mean about their common Mexican origin.

No, I think Ruiz will last until 10. He's durable and throws hard enough that AJ can't just walk through him. He'll throw enough punches to make AJ cautious early on. AJ will figure something out later and patiently wear him down to the end. And don't call me Shirley!

Opening this post, I was only half-serious, of course.
Again, Andy is among the top 10 HWs (considering skills only), but he has no chance against Joshua.
If he had a disipline and dedication, he would make weight and compete at CW (with decent chance to be the champion).

We'll soon find out what Ruiz is made up of. I just hope the ring ropes don't collapse during the fight.

Cruiserweight, huh?

I'm not even sure that Ruiz was that light when he was born.

I couldn't imagine him 60/70 pounds lighter. Don't think he'd be healthy at CW. He's a 'tweener.'

Mike Perez made the weight for CW, and he was much more muscular than Ruiz.

This poll seems pretty poorly constructed, especially in that nearly all of the options are fights that went the distance.

As I wrote, I was half-serious opening this post.
How can I (and, how can anyone) be serious about this kind of match ?

I really hope Ruiz will be paid properly. This mismatch is not his fault. Boxing is half-dead right now, and tomorrow it will be worse. This kind of soft-matching can not attract young people to become the boxing fans. :verysad:

I think a figure of US$ 5m was mentioned. How do you fancy that for under 40 minutes of hard work? :D

Sorry to disappoint you Valmar but when it comes to the "Assh*le Championship of BoxRec" you're not even in contention. You really need to up your game :D
