Considering AJ lost to a 15-1 underdog despite a great camp and looking like a bodybuilder as usual.... And the fact Fury had to lose 100+ pounds and had to be robbed by the judges against Wilder.... The top three OUGHT to be Fury, Wilder and Ruiz

I don’t know about Boxrec, but Ruiz Jr. is #1 on my list. He defeated The Man. He is now The Man.

Yeah, that's my opinion. Like the same opinions of the others about Joshua and Wilder. Cause the today's situation isn't like with Lewis or Wlad. Today we have 3 candidates for the King status, who had to determine that between themselves. But then something went wrong.

Wilder should be #1 now.

I agree with them.Lennox wrote: ↑02 Jun 2019, 05:07 Number 1 on PBO, he beat the man

You can only become the Man by beating the Man who beat the Man.
As long as the lineal champion is active, you can't become the Man unless you beat him. And it's Fury now.

Joshua was number 1.
Ruiz beat him, he is number 1.

That's not what makes you "the Man", though. It's not how ratings work either.

Nope.
When Lennox retired he stopped being the lineal champion, a comeback against Seferi wouldn't make him the main man. Same for Fury.

Even if you disagree with the logic, considering how AJ basically got embarrassed by a 15-1 underdog.... And Fury was robbed against Wilder.... There's no doubt at this point Fury is the best heavyweight on the planet.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑02 Jun 2019, 06:49 Nope.

"The Man" is the lineal champ. That's Fury. Two years out doesn't stop you being it. You are just making shit up to suit yourself.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑02 Jun 2019, 06:47 Beating the man is exactly what makes you the man.
The BoxRec points he will pick up by beating Joshua should also see him at number 1 I believe, though it keeps changing so who knows.
Even if you did accept a period of inactivity stops you being lineal champ, which it doesn't, it's certainly not Joshua; it would have been nobody since Fury fought Wlad. Wlad doesn't get it back, and Joshua would have had to fight the other leading candidate - Wilder - in order to claim it.

Do you honestly see Ruiz beating Fury?
Do you honestly see Ruiz beating Wilder?
I can't. No disrespect to him. He's a good heavyweight. But Joshua was tailor made for a guy like Ruiz. Fury and Wilder are not. Ruiz is a champion because of circumstance, not because he's the best around.

..from what I've seen up to this point, I tend to agree with this assessment, Henry..HomicideHenry wrote: ↑02 Jun 2019, 07:06 Do you honestly see Ruiz beating Fury?

Fury wasn't robbed and the debate for best heavyweight on the planet is up in the air. You'd spend the $4 in your pocket on a used fury jockstrap.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑02 Jun 2019, 07:06 Do you honestly see Ruiz beating Fury?

Well, Wilder can be seen defeated by Ruiz. Wilder's defense is so-so too. He's just more gutsy, than Joshua. But still Ruiz can get to him. The thing is, Joshua got to Ruiz faster, than Ruiz got to him. With Wilder Ruiz won't have such luck, if he gets caught by Wilder first, he'll be out.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑02 Jun 2019, 07:06 Do you honestly see Ruiz beating Fury?

And with Fury, yeah, it's hard to see Andy winning.
