You've just proven my pointdalcumly wrote: ↑02 Jun 2019, 07:18 I'm sorry, but Ruiz is an absolute bum. A fat slob who is not within the top ten of world heavyweight boxing. I agree ,something is terribly wrong here with Joshua. I wasn't certain about his chin but its not that bad that a cuff around the earhole sends him haywire.
Chisora, Dubois, Gorman , Joyce and others would all beat Ruiz. Please don't anyone suggest he's some sort of hidden superstar. He done nothing to upset Joseph Parker.
I feel bad about criticising him because he was a no-hoper and won the fight fair and square. Well done to him, but come on he's in a worse state than Butterbean who was a four round gimmick.
Strange goings on

Re: Strange goings on
Why should he take a 'massive pay cut' to appease some blokes on the internet, it's not how the business works.bigjack wrote: ↑02 Jun 2019, 07:16 I did feel a bit sorry for him myself, love seeing Eddies face though,as far as Joshua calling the shots, well he's down the list now and if he wants his title back from Ruiz he should have to take a massive pay cut, doubt he will though as by the time it happens Eddie will have the casuals believing it was a fluke.

Re: Strange goings on
You badly underestimate Ruiz, unbelievable if you've actually viewed the fight. That guy is no bum. He wasn't a bum versus Parker either. There is some skill and serious killer instinct jiggling round in that little dumpy body.dalcumly wrote: ↑02 Jun 2019, 07:18 I'm sorry, but Ruiz is an absolute bum. Re: Strange goings on
He will be paid very well, may not be Wembley but the 02 will sell out. And if a Wilder or Fury fight happens it will fill Wembley or Cardiff.

Really? They couldn't sell out Wembley in April when he had the belts.
Re: Strange goings on
Double yes! Or maybe Cardiff because of the roof if it's in November
Re: Strange goings on
I think you boys are under estimating how many of the casual fans will turn their back now.

Re: Strange goings on
Would anybody like to name a boxer in the top ten who you think couldn't beat Ruiz?
Re: Strange goings on
NO way the casuals come out in the same numbers to support Joshua after losing to a guy they'll view as a small fat man. That's not how reflected glory works.
They'll walk away in masses.

Meh, opinions vary. I think Joshua fans will turn up expecting a return of the king affair.

Re: Strange goings on
A thought just crossed my head how about a week or so ago AJ did some interview somewhere saying he's been seeing a sports psychologist....
Maybe the pressure of being heavyweight champion, and constantly being told what to do by Hearn & others, and living constantly under the microscope got the best of him.
It wouldn't be the first time someone had a breakdown or basically took something of a dive to get out of the game for a while or feel relaxed.

No idea if there's any truth to these tweets or if they have any actual knowledge of the situation but this tweet I saw was interesting

I don't believe it, I think Ruiz won fair and square, this will be the start of the hype for the rematch.

Re: Strange goings on
One thing I will say- I don't think Joshua ever really wanted to fight in the states. He always has seemed at his happiest, in his comfort zone fighting in the UK.
I feel like he only really did it as a favour to Hearn because of what Eddie is trying to do with DAZN.
