Ruiz vs Whyte

Who would you pick I think I'd take Whyte to out work Ruiz but with no great certainty Whyte is a bit more versatile than AJ and with a better engine.

I like this fight.

Whyte more than deserves a title shot and the winner would certainly be a great match for the Fury-Wilder 2 winner too.

Now that Hearn is basically out of the way, maybe things will get to rolling in this division. That being said I believe Ruiz would win a decision, if not a late round stoppage (ie, 10-11) because if Parker nearly had Whyte out of there I have little doubt Ruiz could do it.

I think Whyte would do as he has done each time out since Joshua and find a win one way or another.
He doesn’t let things like pride stop him from doing what is required to win, remember him hanging on to the ropes for dear life to keep Parker trapped in round 12?
Whyte is fit and tough and I think he would manage to get a points win.
He would also be a nightmare in negotiations for a Joshua rematch and it probably wouldn’t happen without Joshua working into a mandatory position.

I think his speed'd be too much for Whyte, and Ruiz has the better chin and skills. Although if Ruiz were lazy in training, a motivated Whyte could find a way past him.

I can see him feeding Usyk to Joshua, or Hunter too. A few bang up's just to get AJ back into a Wilder showdown. But with Haymon in Ruiz' corner.... I have a hard time imagining that they'll give Joshua a rematch off the bat.... It'll be Ruiz defending the title in Los Angeles and against maybe Joseph Parker to get that revenge.

The fact that AJ lost to Ruiz shows something is seriously wrong. Personally, i’m not down with the “Ruiz is brilliant, AJ was literally that shit all along” brigade. I’m not even an especially big AJ fan, and have no emotions over what happened last night, but even I can see that AJ was complacent, had trained for a much slower opponent, and probably felt the pressure to bang out his aesthetically displeasing opponent in Wilder style on his US debut. As soon as he thought he had Ruiz hurt, he foolishly jumped on him and got caught with a punch that scrambled him and that he never recovered from. It was a particularly stupid move but it was what was expected of him. Fury gets grief for being boring and so AN has to be “exciting”, but throwing caution to the wind and trading at HW is a very dangerous game. He got hurt and then beaten up.

Usyk was going to beat AJ when they eventually met: he’s far too skilful for Joshua: but then i’ve always said that. Just like Fury would have beaten AJ. Congratulations to Ruiz, but he met a complacent multimillionaire walking advert of the AJ that beat Whyte And Klitschko and Parker. I can’t see Ruiz holding those belts for long, and I see Usyk beating him fairly easily for one of them should AJ not enforce the mandatory. This isn’t a salty AJ fan, or a Fury Gammon-man gloating over the downfall of their hero’s nemesis (Fury has been very gracious on social media). Just a boxing fan saying what I see.

Usyk would a nightmare for Ruiz probably his hardest fight. As for feeding AJ usyk he's hardly a easy touch is he I'd pick him over AJ

Imo Usyk beats both Ruiz and Joshua. Ruiz has fast hands, but Usyks footwork and style wins.
