He had just gotten off of the Dimintrenko training camp and fight, so he pretty much never stopped training for couple of months.

Ruiz is obviously one of those guys who needs to keep busy.

The problem for him now is that now he is champion, he's going to be fighting twice a year, 3 times tops if he keeps hold of his belts.

He may be a fighting champion, who knows. Depends on who holds the strings. I don't imagine a very long reign anyway. Kudos to him for his performance, but I think it was more a flawed AJ than a world beater Ruiz.
