Joshua lost to a fat pudding
Joshua lost to a fat pudding
I don't see legacy in him. He should kiss Eddie hearns for protecting him so long and Eddie hearn should kiss Anthony ass for being smart listen and no picking opponents himself.
In several fights we have seen he was gassed badly. Wladimier klitchko fought him at age 40, and joshua is 29 only and i don't see his engine good for no more than couple of years only.
He probably beats Ruiz in rematch, but we difinitly seeing him losing 2 or 3 times more in few years.

Ruiz can be fat if he wants, it's the heavyweights. He displayed an absolutely granite chin. After he got up in r3 AJ drilled him with a long right hand. If Ruiz didn't weigh 268lb that shot would've put him in row Z.
Boxings a game of skill... listening to the casuals harp on about Ruiz' physique since this fight got signed has been cringe-worthy. I'd argue he's more built for the fight game than AJ, clearly the muscle bound stiff can't throw hard shots for more than a few minutes with all that lactic acid.

This fight reminds me of wlad and young Povetkin . Joshua should grabed and leaned over Ruiz on the inside, and let refree seperate them instead he tried to look impressive. But he was a COMPLETE FOOL trying to exchange with hard punching short hands like TYREX.
It show still Anthony joushua is an amateur with good chin and good power. Wladmier dominated heavyweight division with a weak chin and good brain for more than a decade.

That’s ok buddy. You’re new to boxing. Everyone has to start somewhere.Boxtune wrote: ↑02 Jun 2019, 22:29 I don't see legacy in him. He should kiss Eddie hearns for protecting him so long and Eddie hearn should kiss Anthony ass for being smart listen and no picking opponents himself.

Re: Joshua lost to a fat pudding
Ruiz isn't just a fat pudding. He's tough mentally, has good handspeed and solid punching power. He's real deal, he should have been given the belt even earlier, after he whooped Parker. Of course, he was an underdog for the reason, but that didn't mean, that he absolutely sucked. His body is deceptive indeed. The same with Kownacki btw.
Re: Joshua lost to a fat pudding
Yeah muscles might look impressive but over development in that area is no use to a boxer. As you say it's the lactic acid build up that kills 'em. Saw it with Bruno and many others besides.Ricky wrote: ↑02 Jun 2019, 22:44 Ruiz can be fat if he wants, it's the heavyweights. He displayed an absolutely granite chin. Fat Pudding with a 105-5 amateur record & hands like..
so not all bad.
Can you shallow imbeciles stop being so well...shallow.

Re: Joshua lost to a fat pudding
Andy Ruiz record is garbage ... he was never a KO artist. I hope he does well , else joushua stock goes DOWN THE TOILET .
Re: Joshua lost to a fat pudding
This type of comment is short sighted. Boxing isnt about appearance. Its about skills and desire. Ruiz does have both. If you give him openings and neglect defense and allow him to fight on the inside he can be very effective.
Re: Joshua lost to a fat pudding
To paraphrase Leon Spinks (which isn't done often) Ruiz "may not be the Greatest, but he is the Latest."

Re: Joshua lost to a fat pudding
And you expected a guy who hadn't fought in nine months to not get in trouble?
You expected a guy who was expecting to fight someone else, only to be thrown a substitute with four weeks to go, wouldn't be in trouble?
Re: Joshua lost to a fat pudding
Is Ruiz our fattest champion ever ? I strongly suspect he is. When a guy who look's like he lives on fast food and seldom works out can knock Joshua on his cut and finely chiseled ass 4 times, we're going to be laughing about it awhile.

Tony Tubbs is a strong candidate.
Re: Joshua lost to a fat pudding
Botha also was a champ, but he was stripped of the belt for PEDs, as I remember.

Re: Joshua lost to a fat pudding
He's certainly not the heaviest. Valuev far outweighed Ruiz.
Would you consider Big Baby Miller as fatter than Ruiz? He outweighs him considerably but looks much more svelte anyways.
Re: Joshua lost to a fat pudding
I guess, "fat" is more defined by the proportion of fat to muscles, not by the numbers. Valuev was just too big. Miller has a mix of muscles and fat. Ruiz is purely fat. Kownacki is fat as well.

Re: Joshua lost to a fat pudding
Yeah, Ruiz and Kownascki are somewhat gross looking. Even worse than those out of shape 1980's heavyweights.
Miller has usually carried his weight pretty well, even at over 300 lbs.
Re: Joshua lost to a fat pudding
I wonder how many fat dudes (worldwide) have sprained their wrists or busted their knuckles punching bags without proper wraps since Saturday night?
Re: Joshua lost to a fat pudding
Buster Mathis weighed over 300. Could move really well too that guy.
Re: Joshua lost to a fat pudding
Yeah. As far as Boxing is concerned the lean muscle of a Deontay Wilder is much better for your handspeed, and stamina than the body builder physique of an Anthony Joshua. It's really not to your benefit in any way really to have that kinda build as a boxer. I'm sure he could outmuscle guys on the inside, but here lately he hasn't been fighting on the inside so it's really just no help at all.
