Ruiz changed trainers

Post by oogiebe »

No one talking about the fact that Ruiz was being trained by Abel Sanchez until the past year or so when he moved to Manny Robles. That really seemed to get Ruiz to the next level. And also maybe why he was flying under the radar for so many. This really doesn't bode well for Sanchez who has been the proverbial "hot potato."

What a good timing. He would lose with Sanchez, like everyone who fights under his guidance.

Exactly my point. I think he only had Robles the last two fights.

Manny is a good and young trainer.

Manny Robles, Eddie Reynoso and Alfredo Caballero are the best trainers from México right now

Abel is overrated as hell

Yes. Robles has made Ruiz a different fighter. Great game plan, which is an Abel Sanchez weak spot.

Talking about trainers, pretty much all I heard Rob McCracken say in the corner during the fight was “Jab, jab, right” whereas Robles was giving different advice depending on the previous round...

Very telling. Robles is a tactician.

Well most think he beat Parker and that was with Abel.

No one talked about it over a year ago when Ruiz changed trainers, because no one was really interested in Ruiz.

I’m sure I would have made a thread about the trainer change.

I don’t think Ruiz knows who he’s training with either. Did he say Manny Roaches in the post fight interview?
