Did anyone on here actually do that?

 Ruiz isn't THAT fat (Butterbean).... He's more like Tony Tubbs.... Bodies mean nothing in boxing... This isn't a body beautiful contest, this is about stamina and precision and strategizing.

Talent and fundamentals trump 6'6'' big punching body beautifuls.
Do you think this post would have more impact if you yourself hadn't completely written ruiz off on the basis of his being 'morbidly obese and therefore won't be able to avoid Joshua's punches'?

Your whole wise after the event act would play much better if you hadn't judged this fight ENTIRELY on the basis of physique yourself

Please read & settle down:

overhand_right wrote: 01 Jun 2019, 16:21 Just rewatching Parker/Ruiz. Ruiz is much better schooled than I remembered. He also throws nice, surprisingly fast combinations, with some clout! I don't think it's in Ruiz's nature to show up to lose. On reflection I wouldn't be surprised if he makes some interesting things happen tonight.

Does Joshua take a punch as well as Parker? Ruiz did seem to ring his bell a couple of times.

funny that the op had this to say right before the fight
Ruiz is morbidly obese, thus won't be able to avoid Joshua's power punches for long, thus won't last very long. Going 12 rounds with Parker doesn't mean anything. Parker went 12 with Whyte who AJ flattened. If this blob goes past six Joshua should be embarrassed.
now suddenly hes posting all knowing in multiple threads like this about physique , just a tad ironic tj

nah, and some ppl just single out a few lone nutty opinions like 'height is all that matters' and then bring up old threads to 'haha!!' at those, even though like virtually no one believed that

i mean congrats if something happened that helps you dismiss some super fringe kalan opinion, i bet the same ppl would jump for joy if they beat a toddler in a game of chess

i just dont get the glee in bumping threads to say haha!! to totally fringe opinions, like who is proud enough of that to gives a sh!t

i guarantee you that pretty much no one at all here was saying height and muscle is everything

jamamb wrote: 02 Jun 2019, 01:07 i dont think andy ruiz is really that great either, he lost to joe parker (omg taller joe! omg joe who lost to taller aj and whyte! whyte who lost to taller aj too!) and couldnt stop a shot to sh!t liakhovich and was just droppin rounds to kingpin johnson.. it doesnt always work out that the guy who beats you is superior to all the guys you beat

obviously your quite giddy lol
When Ruiz lost to Parker he was still being trained by non-Abel Sanchez. With Robles in his corner (two fights now) he's a different fighter. No one is talking about that. All but a handful of us underestimated Ruiz. None of us took the change in trainers into consideration. It's hindsight on my part, but it's made a big difference. I don't buy into all the BS triangulation of who can beat who now, because it's meaningless.
