I'm starting to think Dillian Whyte can beat Anthony Joshua
Re: I'm starting to think Dillian Whyte can beat Anthony Joshua
Gotta keep well clear of the left hook. Dill's specialty and AJ's achilles?

it would now be a very open fight. we'll have to see how/if joshua can comeback from that beating. in any event, joshua will always be seen as vulnerable from here on, and white is a good grudge matchup anyway.

AJ beat him before and he can still beat him. THe question should be can Ruiz beat Whyte, and the answer is probably yes.

ruiz-whyte would be a war, surely. very good match up. speed v strength in some respects. perhaps ruiz has the better skills on recent evidence.
i would think the only one who could potentially beat the other 2 easily, would be josh, if he can correct his flaws, and use his reach, ala klitschko.

Whyte would be blathered by Wilder. Probably Ruiz too. Fury beats both of them as well.fanman wrote: ↑03 Jun 2019, 20:06 ruiz-whyte would be a war, surely. very good match up. speed v strength in some respects. perhaps ruiz has the better skills on recent evidence.

Summed up pretty well.candyslim wrote: ↑07 Aug 2018, 12:24 I think it's unlikely but not impossible. He definitely buzzed AJ in that second round and it's common knowledge that he was nursing a shoulder injury coming into that fight.
He showed real heart and stuck manfully to the task. There is no doubt he has done a lot of work in the gym since then, he looks much fitter and he has improved greatly in terms of his technique. I bet Parker could tell you all about Dillian's jab.
The problem is AJ has also improved since then and has added the ability and discipline to employ a safety first defensive approach so the second fight is likely to be a clinical display from Joshua not a shoot-out like the first meeting.
I'd lean towards Joshua although last weekend's result has clouded things somewhat.

I like Whyte, he's definitely earned his title shot by now and he's a good personality to have around in heavyweight boxing. But I still think AJ stops him, Fury makes him look like a fool, and Wilder sends him to the netherworld.

Whyte had AJ rocking and got caught with a power punch , he has improved since then and should get another crack .
Although earlier this year he seemed to turn down a fairly big offer from Matchroom .

I've heard Whyte turned down the fight earlier this year because the rematch clause stipulated that AJ would still receive the lion's share of the purse even if he lost the fight.stevec@france wrote: ↑05 Jun 2019, 11:27 Whyte had AJ rocking and got caught with a power punch , he has improved since then and should get another crack .

..just because of this single loss in his professional career I'm not prepared to revise every other result on AJ's resume, it is solid inspite of this last loss..he had an excellent win over Whyte and the odds are he's more than capable to repeat his success..
