Klitschko is finished

Post by snake33 »

Remember back when Wlad got stopped twice and lots of people were saying he should retire, he's finished
and then he was undisputed champ for 10 years.
Joshua will be OK.

He's capable of coming back. I won't write him off just yet. Even if he has back-to-back losses, a man can come back.

I never said he was garbage. I never said he wasn't any good. I merely said that I felt he was rushed to the top too fast, never really learning to cope with genuine adversity.

One brawl with an old, inactive Klitschko who let him off the hook isn't enough to learn from. Iron sharpens iron. Tough fights produce tough champions.

He has the ability to come back. A man 6'6" & 250 pounds with a gold medal pedigree ought to be able to. But even walls can fall.

Jamamb and I posted almost identical posts on AJ's opponents in the other thread. Go back and respond to them.

Joshua needs to find his Emmanuel Steward. My stream was messing up during Joshua ring walk but he looked way to lackadaisical coming into the ring the portion I got. I really like his personality though, if boxing doesn't work out he could get into politics.

Almost certainly Wlad was poisoned in Brewster 1, which he proved by beating Brewster so easily when he was healthy in the rematch. In the Sanders fight he was caught by a dynamite punch by a boxer who could have been the best of them all, and Wlad had the misfortune to run into him the one and only time he totally seriously trained for a fight. On the other hand Joshua was thoroughly beaten up. I don't know if he will come back. We'll know more after the rematch.

stevec@france I don't think Joshua took Klitschko's belts I think Tyson Fury beat the aging Kltischko and I think Joshua beat an even older Klitschko who was 41 years old at the time without a belt..I have to go back and look but that is how I think it played out.

I'll be shocked if he comes back.

He's supposed to be one of the clever ones

Ok

so I was a bit too enthusiastic ... AJ took " the belts "

IBF World Heavyweight Title (3rd defense by Joshua)
WBA Super World Heavyweight Title (Vacant)
IBO World Heavyweight Title (Vacant)

I thought he won the WBO from Parker and the IBF from Martin, IBO/WBA Super was vacant when he beat Wlad for it. :maybe:
