It's human nature to sh1t on the present and idealize the past. We all do it, I'm guilty of waxing lyrical about how marvellous the heavyweight scene was in my youth in the seventies, but people who bemoan the lack of depth today forget that you dig down outside the top twenty in the seventies and you find people like Joe Roman, Roby Harris and Jean-Pierre Coopman to name but three.

Honest enough pros but any better than the Martins or the Fedosovs? I don't think so.

Klitschkos era was boring.
No real competition and their style was boring and awkward.

I think right now the division is quite fun and open. Wilder, Fury, AJ, Ruiz, Parker, some upcoming guys like Usyk.
The only problem is there are so much organizations and money issues that it takes so long to see them fighting one each other, its really frustrating.
Thats the only (big) real issue I see now at HW.

But Louis had his Bum of the Month contenders.

And Marciano is constantly derided for beating "old men."

The 70s list of contenders were gold.
