Bowe only fought a tiny number of top fighters and the rest were sparring partner level .

only Americans think he was anything .

Lennox Lewis has a much superior record :box:

And yet, if Lennox had fought Riddick when Bowe first won the title, he may have lost :D .

wilder would have a chance for an early ko, given that bowe wasnt the best defensively, and theyd be equal in size.
overall bowe has superior skill, chin, and decent power himself, so the longer it goes the more youd favour bowe.

to think bowe only ever lost 1 fight to evander, and avenged it.
and wilder undefeated still, with only 1 draw.

Bowe thinks the wbc belt is literally garbage so he would never take the fight

I'd pick Riddick "Big Daddy" Bowe by decision here. Bowe when in shape and focused was an incredible and super exciting heavyweight! The grudge match against Jorge Luis Gonzalez was awesome!!

Bowe just too polished of a fighter for Wilder. Plus Bowe was one of the best inside heavyweight fighters. Wilder might hurt Bowe on occasion, but overall, Bowe weather a storm or two, and ends up winning on points here.

What does Lennox have to do with this? Or do you think wilders record mirrors the Brits?

Bowe's style was very attractive, but his defense was not stellar (see Holyfield and Golota).

The great majority of posters here (80%, surely) consider Wilder the most powerful puncher nowadays.

So, here is out of place.

X3..... Really?!?

Klitscko's vs Bowe, seems worth a thought/discussion.

Even "Fantasy" should be made of "
comparable accomplishments/skill sets and accomplishments.

Here's reality:

"Wilder vs Michael Dokes"

....now that's a match-up!!!! Iron chinned, cracked out Dokes (with power) vs 1 Punch Freak Wilder (who has heart/belief/confidence) that belies his skills and experience.

Lets's keep perspective. These guys just aren't that good. I'd pick John Ruiz to beat Breazale, Parker, Joshua AND Wilder.

I'd pick the version of Golota that fought Bowe over Wilder, Joshua, Ruiz, no doubt. 90s era was just better.

Bowe had trouble with Golota's power. Bowe may win some rounds, but first solid Wilder right and that's all she wrote.

i seriously doubt its that simple, bowe was a big hitter himself and vastly more skilled then wilder. he could ko wilder as well. the guy knocked out and repeatedly hurt f@cking holyfield

lol now we are sure thinging wilder knockouts of bowe?

golota wasnt in 92 btw, it was several years later. and wilder got hurt by eric molina if we play that game

Everyone's more skilled than Wilder. Deontay is usually losing until the right hand takes him home. I think it is that simple. If Wilder lands the right, and he eventually would, Riddick isn't taking the shot IMO.

lol then on what basis does anyone in history beat wilder? because hell, deontay always lands that right! does he ko lewis and tyson and foreman all too

btw, its an exaggeration to say all wilder needs is that one right. molina reperatedly got up, then hurt deontay and lasted late, duhaupas never went down, stiverne went 12 the first time, fury got up and went the disatnce, arreaola stood up to a battering before retiring after 8. ortiz got up and nearly stopped him and lasted several more rounds

bowe had ko power himself and way more skill. he could ko deontay first, do you not think wilder can be stopped?

An opponent would need the chin of an Ali. Sure, Bowe could win, I just wouldn't favor him in this match.

lots of guys got up from wilders shots and lasted rounds, his power is great but the stuff about he just needs that one shot is totally exaggerated

what about bowe stopping wilder? you should surely know bowe has power himself and plenty of skill

I love Wilder, but Bowe at his prime was special and would've given Wilder hell.
