After this Upset the future of the world heavyweight Championship is up in the air.
Joshua has activated the rematch clause and If Ruiz is to Win Joshua is Finished, Period,
I believe Joseph Parker is in the Box seat to get the next shot.
Ruiz would want the chance to avenge his only Loss and Parker the only guy to go the distance with Joshua, that fight in or around April 2020.
Wilder vs Fury 2 around Early December 2019.
I think Wilder Wins, and he Fights Winner of Whyte / Rivas,in April 2020,
So if the Organizations dont Strip Ruiz.
Its Ruiz / Parker vs Wilder Sept. 2020.
However....
If Joshua wins Rematch with Ruiz its back to where we were.
Joshua does have a suspect CHIN and HEART.
But with this division anythong can happen.
And it could be Dillian Whyte or Oscar Rivas or Joseph Parker or Andy Ruiz or Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder or Anthony Joshua or Who Knows will be the next HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD...

If there is actually a Wilder/Fury rematch, the winner will more likely fight Ruiz/AJ winner. I think everyone's learned their lesson on trying to marinate a fight for financial reasons.

I find it baffling why Whyte has be shuffled back in line. He is an "OK" fighter, but realistically not a "boogieman" by my estimation anyway.

Wilder is in no way "ducking" anyone. Whyte earned a shot, but I'm not too interested in him.

Funnily enough, neither am I.
No disrespect to the guy, he has taken on a pretty decent selection of opponents since his loss to AJ, and in comparison to the other non title holders.
I think in my case it was the fight with Parker. If it were not for the head clash, I think Parker would have absolutely schooled him and taken him out mid fight.

He’s self-managed and a promotional and network free agent. If he wins a world title, he can sign a contract with the highest bidder.

Nobody wants to lose control over the belts or see the value of their marquee names diminish.

Not sure that could happen, as Fury isn't ranked with the IBF currently. Number 2 is now vacant (I think that used to be Whyte). Number 3 is Kabayel.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Arum force the WBO to make Fury vs Schwartz a final eliminator. Fury will then be mandatory and refuse step aside money.

This would mean the WBO would have to strip Ruiz of the WBO before the rematch.
Thus putting a stopper on Ruiz or Joshua fighting Wilder next year for all the belts.

It would be a great way for Arum to throw a spanner in the works for both Haymon and Hearn.
