Lol, do you have a beef with me?
I think his casual fanbase will suffer yes, but I accept that is unproven til he fights next
He was hurt a few times, stopped in the ams. Wlad fought like an idiot with a man ready to be taken out in front of him. Whyte had him all over the place and Whyte was sloppy as hell. He was rocked against Povetkin twice. And we saw how he crumbled vs Ruiz.dr_devious wrote: ↑07 Jun 2019, 17:08 Not sure about that. He's only been down before against Vlad and that was via a punch that would have knocked anybody down and he got back up to win.
Your comment brings to mind the phrase; history is written by the winner.
Dill and Wlad landed huge KO shots on him, if you're unsure of this then please re-watch the fights.liamlion wrote: ↑07 Jun 2019, 19:30 Your comment brings to mind the phrase; history is written by the winner.
Yes, the three fights you referenced above ended exactly as youve described. But each of those fights didn’t last 5 seconds, did they? The results don’t tell the full story. There were massive alarm bells regarding Joshua’s durability firstly against Whyte and secondly against Wlad.
Upon being tagged by both men, Joshua instantly became a gassed out lumbering target. He did great to get the wins but Wlad especially, massively fucked up by not taking out Joshua. If you’re unsure of this then please re-watch the Wlad fight. It really is quite alarming and equally as obvious. No doubts. Joshua was a stoppage waiting to happen and this was also recently affirmed by Adam Smith in an IFL TV video.
The comparison to Bruno is a natural one. Both are tremendous physical specimens with decent power and presence. But when they are tagged, they almost turn to stone and present themselves as a sitting duck with an inability to hold. They both have vulnerability.
I’m no hater of Joshua, he comes across as a decent guy and has achieved so much. I don’t believe him to be a corporate, well-trained robot. Instead, I think he is just an honest and decent guy who probably doesn’t really have the nastiness that I think someone like Wilder possesses.
Yep. Hilarious how people thought Wlad not going in for the kill was a function of his age and not the fact his style had been remodelled specifically NOT to do that.
Whyte lit him up to the head and body, he was just too small. He's physically more powerful and would make short work of Joshua now.

Joshua was saved by the bell against a geriatric Wladimir who was well past it. If the timing was stil there for Wlad he would have caught AJ with that left hook he threw as AJ was falling to his arse, and that would've been that.
Povetkin was just another yesterday's man, a 40 year old still clinging on to the last breath of his career thanks to a decade worth of dodgy Russian asthmatic medication. He's so bad he almost got bingod by Price.
Joshua's most impressive win to date has been Parker, I'm not convinced he'd win a rematch though, Joseph is a better fighter and gave him too much respect

Putting it simply, I think Joshua is slightly fragile. I think he is certainly more fragile than Wilder and Fury and also less resilient.
I'm surprised at the turnaround on folks views on AJ. I remember the same BS with Lewis; with Wlad, hell I remember when Ali lost to Norton and everyone said he was through, even after the rematch.Wrists wrote: ↑10 Jun 2019, 17:29 Dear me what a load of shite being written on here:
Let’s state some facts:
Whyte: won about 10 seconds in 7 rounds and KTFO
Wlad: hit AJ wIth a monster right hand and didn’t capitalise, somehow AJs fault
Parker: neutralised completely for 12 rounds
Povetkin: didn’t ‘rock’ AJ twice at all. Fantasy. never been stopped, AJ cleaned his clock
He lost a fight, feck me some people are revelling in it. If AJ wins the rematch on the end of the jab, everyone will call him a boring bugger. He can’t win
It’s astonishing , I made the same point on another thread. I can only assume many of these revisionists are new to boxing.
