From what he was, say, two years ago, Kownacki is gradually firming up.
I like this fight, both guys are entertaining. Arreola is deceptive. Although I feel it would be a bit of an upset if Chris won, it wouldn't surprise me if he gave it a good go , depending on how much Adam pisses him off :OhYes:

I really can't believe the winner between Adam Kownacki and Chris Arreola will become Deontay Wilder's next opponent after 'The Bronze Bomber' has disposed of Luis Ortiz. :brick:

I wouldn't rule out Wilder facing another PBC stablemate in the near future, perhaps someone as dire as Charles Martin. After all, Wilder is entitled to perform voluntaries and he almost exclusively faces fellow Al Haymon stablemates.

Hard to imagine a rematch with Arreola would ever be in the cards.

Kownascki should wait for Ruiz. They would look like 2 bar room brawlers going at it.

He looks trim with a t-shirt on anyway. I've been predicting he's going to the top for a while now, and his Big Baby friend too when he comes back. Kownacki vs Ruiz would be a good one. He'll be the opposite of pathetic looking back peddling Joshua. I figure he'll swarm Ruiz and Wilder too and Joshua too. I think Id favor Fury though. Arreola should be a blowout like Washington.

I really doubt Chris will fold like Washington. He is made of stearner stuff. He is also a lot more experienced at the C&B level.
As you may have surmised, I'm quite looking forward to this one. I don't have a favourite between the two guys, and I'm not fussed who wins. I just think it will be a good fight to watch.

Could be a barn burner for sure. Both active and throw caution to the wind. :TU:

I gotta doubt that sterner stuff part. After the Vitali fight he was walking around the ring cursing and crying like a little girl. Nope, I'm going with a quick blowout for the next super-fatty!

I was using sterner stuff in relation to Washington.

Yeah you can. Ruiz's reign won't last long, and his weight is one of the key reasons.

A few months ago I'd have said this would be a mismatch but Chris has recently got a good win over previously unbeaten Jean-Pierre Augustin 17-0-1. I say unbeaten but I thought he looked awful drawing with Solomon Maye so either Augustn's record flatters to deceive, or that was a case of 'Dead cat bounce'. Either way I don't think Arreola troubles Kownacki unduly, not now.

kownacki will win , but since he eats punches with his face id expect the lesser of the fat mexicans to have some moments, since chris usually isnt afraid to throw

Yeah this will be fun while it lasts. Not to mention, considering that Arreola tried and failed on a few occasions to win a Heavyweight title, and he just saw a different fat Mexican achieve what he never could, it may well have lit a fire under his ass to where he'll be extra motivated.

He's been performing a bit better of late anyhow, but that may have further fueled the fire for him.

I'll be hoping Arreola manages an upset. It'll most likely not happen, but could you imagine him pulling the upset and we have Ruiz vs Arreola in a Mexican stand off for the title in Los Angeles? That'd be awesome.

2 Mexicans fighting for the World Heavyweight title in L.A. or Mexico would be unprecedented, and a huge event no doubt. Probably one of the more enthusiastic crowds on North American soil in a long while as well.

Absolutely.

Ruiz makes history as first Mexican.
Then we have an all-Mexican title bout.
And if the referee was Mexican  as well as the judges, holy smokes. History would be broken in different aspects.

Now I'd like to see Babyface take on the greater of the fat Mexicans. Prior to his upset win I said how I regarded Ruiz and Kownacki to be on roughly the same level ... might need to revise that theory but I'd like to see it even so.
