Eddie has hinted it may go back to MSG, I like the idea.

I said in another thread I'd like to see it in LA or LV, but NY again is fine.

If he did take Ruiz lightly (entirely possible), then maybe a taste of B side action will reignite the fire in his belly that he may need.

If he wins he can have a huge homecoming bout at Wembley next Spring.

If he can still get a couple thousand to the US for the rematch they will all be 'hardcore' AJ fans.

Those fans would be worth fighting for far more than the faceless masses he usually entertains, many of whom hadn't heard of him until he was world champion.

Yeah I’d imagine so

If Ruiz does avoid the rematch, don't be surprised if (over time) the narrative changes to Ruiz catching Joshua under-prepared/not 100%/whatever excuse and now running and hiding from his fate.

I'm not saying any of that is accurate, but all we've heard since fight night are people scratching around to find a reason for Joshua losing other than Ruiz just being better than him on the night - if Ruiz does a runner, that will do nothing but enforce that viewpoint.

It's hard to piece it all together.

Joshua was knocked out in sparring in the lead up to the fight by two of his sparring partners, one of which wasn't involved in the sparring. His dad was furious and wanted him pulled out of the fight but was ignored.

Then Joshua got food poisoning the night before the fight. Again his dad was furious and wanted him pulled out but nobody listened.

Joshua had a panic attack in the dressing room just before the ring walks. There was also something strange about him before the fight started but the reasons for this have still to be fully determined.

Anyway he just wasn't right all night but won the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th rounds and was seconds away from finishing Ruiz in the 3rd before getting overconfident and caught with a lucky punch.

He was stopped prematurely in the 7th round by an incompetent referee. He never really recovered from the lucky punch in the 3rd despite winning rounds 4 and 5 clearly.

But there's nothing he really needs to improve because he'll win the rematch easily

lol funny thing is most of the ppl going on about conspiracies arent even aj boys looking to make excuses , its just general gossip, happens all the time when a big name is upset---its simple really, ppl didnt expect it , it defied what we thought and the evidence ahead of time, so they naturally start wondering if anything was up, human nature really

well thats it , boxing if you come a little off even if you dont and get hit bad by another boxer you can lose , i dont like all the ruiz bum talk , he aint and ive been brought up .that if 90%of you fights have been in america and wins your pro boxer you are to be taken seriously. list goes on, why would we even watch a fight if there wasnt the possibility of defeat. i belive it is this obsession with the zero that generates all the talk.

Should get a gun lawyer and try and weasel out of the contract.

Surely the Ali act can help

The rematch is so much bigger than anybody could have anticipated and that's down to Ruiz.

Ruiz can't be forced to take a pittance here just because it's in the old contract.

The contract is no longer fair, Ruiz is the man. Ruiz has the belts he should call the shots.

A rematch is fair and reasonable but must be on Ruiz terms and with the big man taking the Lions share.

If King Hippo don't get the Lions share then there shouldn't be a rematch.

I suspect that Ruiz will get a fair payday. AJ needs to rematch Ruiz. Beat Ruiz (if he can). Nothing else equals redemption for AJ. It's that simple.

Not fair? Get real, he got the chance of a lifetime, grabbed it knowing what he was signing up to. He will walk away after the rematch having made 8 figures from the fights.

Is this a suggestion that he doesn't hold all the cards in terms of choosing a venue?
Dazn holds cards and the tens of millions they're losing. I actually feel bad for Eddie, he's a good promoter and he's alienating the huge UK fanbase with delusions of conquering an America that couldn't care less about the sport.

I doubt Eddie or the people at DAZN give too much of a eff about the money they are spunking. It's not theirs. It's dumbass stocks and shares investors'.

They will never turn a profit on boxing in the States. They really need a major sport here. Hope they get it because this saves me substantial money.

He's one fighter. The money dazn is spending is unsustainable. The pbc spent a half billion of someone else's money.
