I've stood next to the champ for a photo (@ the weigh in for "Big" John McDermott I) and I'd say 6' 8"
An inch taller than 6'7" Wilder and an inch shorter than 6'9" Price.
Those head to heads seem to bear that out.

I'm sure if you measured standing up straight after a good night's sleep - when we're taller - he can call himself 6 foot 9.

Where and when did I say that I measured him ?

I know his exact height as I know him and his uncle peter and the family well and spent lots of time with them both at their homes and in camp, his exact height as came direct from Him as the conversation as been and does get brought up and people have asked on many occasions especially when they met him in person for the first time and it’s always brought up everytime when I’ve been with him in company and especially when we’ve been in camps with them up in Bolton and at peters site in Irlam along with hughie fury, Sean turner, Eddie chambers, Dave Allen, Chris Keane, Joe sheriff and many many more fighters, too many to list, all new lads that come into camp and people always ask him cuz they are surprised at how tall he really is when your stood next to him, hope this answers your question :TU:

celebheights has wilder at 6.6'5 , fury at 6'7.5 , and price at 6'8....seems around right, i think at least defo right in terms of who is taller then who (despite the 'official' listigns have fury taller then pricey)

i think pretty much most of these guys are prob not quite as tall as listed, its just so easy to add another inch or so, out of vaniety, to make the official billing more imposing for marketing, etc. i do think price though is every bit as tall as his billing, to me a guy like aj or wlad looks really tall, whereas price looks a giant

Factor in that he fights on his toes, which further magnifies his height. If he's 6'8"-6'9" then he'd be 6'11"-7'0" on his toes bouncing around. I have seen him listed as 6'8 and three-quarters before.

As for Merc's point of men rounding up. I'm somewhat reminded of Richard Kiel, the actor who played Jaws in the Bond films. He once joked, "It's easier to say seven-foot-two than it is seven-foot-one-and-one-sixteenth inches."

i think rounding up is fair play, if your 5'9.5 go ahead and say 5'10

but of course if your a boxer, you better bet we are gonna spend multi page threads dissecting that extra half inch :yay:

Okay. So you don’t know how tall he is.
I know my father really well, maybe even better than you know Tyson Fury. I couldn’t tell you for certain his exact height.
Unfortunately as we know, Tyson Fury saying something doesn’t make it true.
I’ve only met you once or twice so not sure if it’s the way you read my perfectly innocuous question or the way that I read your odd reply but it seems to me like you have a bee in your bonnet when there has been no attack, the only way you would KNOW his height is to measure him. I wondered how that had come about. It seems that you really want people to know that you are involved in a gym, you mention it all the time, no need to list other boxers as some kind of evidence that Tyson Fury is whatever height you said he was,

Okay, we’ll I guess I do know how tall he is Has I’ve answered that, was that not in my reply to the OP that you decided to reply to me about my answer but no one else’s ? The general opinion of people is he is between 6ft 7” and 6ft 9” so I just gave the answer as what I know and how and that is he is just under 6ft 9”

You asked a question and I gave you a answer ? That including the reason why and how I know which you asked, your the one who comes across like you’ve got a bee in your bonnet, asking a stupid question with a sarcastic undertone about how I know and when did I measure him and why ? If that’s not how you meant it then fair enough but that’s how it came across hence my reply.

the couple times I’ve met you when you came to the gym to spar one of my lads you came across different to how you do on here, when in person, I explained my answer to your question best I could answer how I knew, including that I know Tyson well not just met him, and the reason how including both on a personal and professional level, which I’m entitled to do, the names I’ve listed which could be a lot more are one who have been there at the same time when this topic as come up hence I mentioned them, your acting like I’m name dropping, if I was without being disrespectful I would of named others who I know or worked with that are much more publicly known, I’m also proud of what I’ve achieved so far in Boxing and some of the fights and camps I’ve been involved in both as a trainer, cutman and manager, and that I’m involved in the sport which I think a lot know anyway by now on here so it doesn’t need me to say but like I said I’m proud to say so and am entitled to do so as many times has I like, so What’s your problem with that Lee ?

Fq me.
I didn't ask how you know him.
Listing people that have been in a room with you and him doesn't mean anything. I am reasonably sure that you and I haven't really spoken beyond 'hello' to gauge what I am like but I have a poor memory so perhaps so.
I have stood face to face with him and I couldn't say for sure if he was 6'6" or 6'7" or 6'8" or 6'9", I see the security lady at the local Asda most evenings and I couldn't tell you if she is 5'5" or 5'6" or 5'7".
The only way to tell something so specific is to measure someone. As you declared that you could be certain, I simply wondered how that situation had come about. As it turns out you haven't so you can't really be sure. Saying 'I know him so I know how tall he is' is like saying 'I know him so I know how many hairs he has on his head'.
Be as proud and as vocal as you like, things that people say on a forum ultimately don't matter and I have no issue at all with you being happy and proud about whatever you like, it is just more enjoyable using a forum that isn't full of threads being derailed and pointless arguments, which this one once was. As time goes on it is slowly dipping to become more like CHB and others.

I remember the short but sweet sparring sessions you had with my lad, Chris Keane (another name drop for you Lee, lol) and remember it well as I do with all my lads training and sparring and taking notes on who is in my gym and training in case a fight ever arises with them, that’s what professionals do lee, but remember it even more so has Chris had only just started back light sparring as he had only one arm (his left) in use at the time as he was going through rehab with his right and he couldn’t use it so we was strengthening his left arm and working on technical things with it incase his arm ever went again during a fight again has it had done after he tore his bicep and detached it from his glenoid in the second round of his S/D points loss to Lawrence Bennett up in Swindon on a show in a British title eliminator, I have a good memory along with the conversation we held quite well, even though your pretty sure we never said more than just a hello, (I would never have anyone in my gym without speaking to them and finding out about them as I am friendly, welcoming and professional) including how inspiring I found it with the right attitude you had to a personal illness you had faced, as like so many I have and am being touched on a personal level with it also, but you can’t remember, that’s fine, I think your the one who has turned this into more than what it needs to be tbh and quite personal imo, many others have commented on his height but you chose to pick me and my reply out, the OP isn’t you and my reply wasn’t too you, if you didn’t like my response or didnt believe it that’s fine,, I’ll leave you too it lee, I’m not a arguer mate, and especially over a keyboard I’m more see you face to face kind of guy if I have a issue, I’ve gave my answer to the OP which again wasn’t you, I’ve gone in to great depth as to how and why I know his exact height and named only a small few others who have been party at these times, you don’t like it for what ever reason and want to dissect it and turn it silly, that’s fine, all the best :TU:

Be careful Jim, Lee might not like your answer and need to know how you know that exact height and if you was the one who measured him, and ask you to convert that into feet and inches (which is a little over 6ft 6” for the record lol) and if you wasn’t then he can’t accept your answer and may do what he said he dislikes about this forum and create a argument and take it totally off topic for his own agenda :OhYes:

You not gonna ask Jim how he knows that Lee and if he measured Tyson to know that exactly and make a issue of that ? Lol

Dear oh dear, yeah I’m making myself look really silly.
Nah got no issue with a figure plucked out of thin air for comic effect, nor with guesses and explanations why. I don’t even have a problem with people saying they know when really they are guessing, but if someone did know, ACTUALLY know, it would be mildly interesting to know how.

We all lose height through the day, so I round myself down to 5'11" because I'm slightly over 5'11.5" at best. I'd round up to 6' if I were half an inch taller.

Guessing their minimum heights, I'd put Ruiz at 6', AJ and Wlad at 6'5", Wilder at 6'6", Fury at 6'7", and Price at 6'8". Price and Wlad seem to be the accurate ones. But as Lee says, it's almost impossible to gauge anyone who's more than a couple of inches either way from you. Mark Hobson might not be 6'5", but he felt at least that tall to me in person.

I very much doubt Fury's 6'9", but there's no way he's under 6'7". I'd expect him to always fall between 6'7" and 6'8". He's a very similar height next to Wlad as Vitali is. His reach is definitely massive, though.

Enough of all this nonsense.

I have met Tyson on numerous occasions and on each one I took his height measurement scientifically with my state of the art measuring equipment and I can categorically state that his height is 2.01m or 6’7 in old money.

I hope this brings this needless debate to a close.

This has been discussed before. In the lead up Klitschko fight everyone commented that in the head to heads they looked the same height. They then got in the ring and Fury looked enormous compared to him.

It think he’s 6ft9 personally.
