It think he’s 6ft9 personally.
Wlad always did the old chunky soles and shoulder pads, didn't he? To me, Fury's one of those guys who slouches and stands a little lower than he needs to, as a sort of deference to people. It's something I do a little bit too sometimes. He's a tricky character, always playing possum and giving you different looks. I've been told he can be quite unsettling to be around and seems like a different person depending on whatever mood he's in. There's a degree of calculation in that that probably goes back to his old man and his uncles: villains for whom unpredictability and being able to unsettle people were useful traits.

Like you said, he always looks the full 6'9" in the ring. I'm inclined to believe the listing as true.

wlad claims to be 6'5 anyway, you can be a good few inches taller then him and still not 6'8

Fury was measured at 6'8.75" last year before his first comeback fight. Now, whether or not he was wearing shoes is information that I don't have.

I dunno but it was when Fury was fat, so a while ago.

Call me a bore but I do find height interesting, and considering the size of these lads it looks like Price is 3” taller than Fury.

He isn’t, so it’s an unreliable photo.

I remember a really old photo that did the rounds on here years ago with a young Fury looking massive next to Klitschko in a training camp group shot. The full photo showed Fury standing on his tip toes to get the edge. They always jerk about with this sort of photo. Haye used to bend his legs in face offs so that opponents dwarfed him even more.

It’s only when they’re in the ring in boxing shoes you see the real size, and Fury looks massive every time.

Well, Well, Well, isn’t that interesting, thanks for putting that exact measurement up mate, unlike some On here I won’t ask you did you measure him, why or how do you know that, or was you there, it’s Exactly the height (very slightly under 6ft 9”) that I said Tyson told me out of his own mouth he was earlier in this thread, looks like I did know after all ;-)

Price has always looked absolutely massive. I remember him on the Olympic podium looking ridiculously big. I might be wrong, but I'm sure he was billed as 6'7" early on and got upgraded to 6'8" later on. Whatever he's a legit massive guy.

Helenius is another one who seems bigger than billed. He looked to have a fair bit of height on Wlad in some photos of them together in camp, despite being billed as roughly the same size.

It's in the ring where the proper judgement can be made. Most athletes do exaggerate their heights anyway.

If you go by that photo and Fury is a legit 6'9, then Pricey is pushing 7 foot really. There's quite a big difference in height there. It's not just an inch. It looks more like 3.

We know that can't be the case.

We need a new discussion.

Who's taller? Tyson Fury of 2015 or Tyson Fury of 2018?

Anyone have that little cartoon bit they did on ESPN's undercard about his height? That'd be a good capper to this thread I guess. They go on and on about his height in comparison with other top athletes.

Didn't see that. That'd of been interesting. Guess nobody will ever really know unless Fury stood next to someone like Larry Bird who legitimately was 6'9".

I do know Fury is taller than Gerry Cooney, who was 6'7" at one point in his life. I'd say Cooney's still over 6'5" despite his age.

the black guy was actually measured at 6'11.5 for the nba draft (think he was like 22),. but now gets listed at 7'1 (height inflation is known in the nba)

Don't men keep growing basically until 22-24? :maybe: He may very well of reached 7'0"-7'1" then again even if the guy is half an inch under 7'0" that's 3" (finger length) taller than 6'9" and you can say that's about accurate for the picture.

What we really need is a site like "thetallestman" still around with people who can accurately gauge height by pictures.

Interestingly enough, the NBA decided to start measuring players without shoes before this season. Heights reported now on major outlets are actually legitimate.

I’ve no idea how tall he is. I’m 6’4 and he towered above me.
