on which of those fights should we vote on? which ones are not important enough to make a thread on them? should we vote on Hunter, Miller and Usyk after their next fights? have i forgot about some meaningful fights or fighters who deserve to be mentioned there?

BoxRec Forum HW TOP 15 Ranking - Question
I have a question to people who are involved into votings on this ranking - should we also vote on good fighters/fights that are outside of our top 15? By the suggestion of conan_the_cribber, i like to add the list of ''worth of mention fights and fighters'':
Łukasz Różański - 10(9) 0 0 - (BoxRec's #78) vs
Izuagbe Ugonoh - 18(15) 1(1) 0 - (inactive) - 06.07.2019
Bryant Jennings - 24(14) 3(2) 0 - (BoxRec's #26) vs
Joe Joyce - 9(9) 0 0 - (BoxRec's #28) - 13.07.2019
Nathan Gorman - 16(11) 0 0 - (BoxRec's #43) vs
Daniel Dubois - 11(10) 0 0 - (BoxRec's #54) - 13.07.2019
Ali Eren Demirezen - 11(10) 0 0 - (BoxRec's #32) vs
Efe Ajagba - 10(9) 0 0 - (BoxRec's #50) - 20.07.2019
Murat Gassiev - 26(19) 1(0) 0 - (BoxRec's #3 at CW) vs
Joey Dawejko - 19(11) 7(1) 4 - (BoxRec's #57) - 27.07.2019
Michael Hunter - 17(12) 1(0) 0 - (BoxRec's #37) vs TBA
Jarrell Miller - 23(20) 0 1 - (BoxRec's #7) vs TBA
Oleksandr Usyk - 16(12) 0 0 (BoxRec's #1 at CW) - vs TBA
on which of those fights should we vote on? which ones are not important enough to make a thread on them? should we vote on Hunter, Miller and Usyk after their next fights? have i forgot about some meaningful fights or fighters who deserve to be mentioned there?

Re: BoxRec Forum HW TOP 15 Ranking - Question
I guess it's any fight where the outcome impacts the top 15.
So Joyce; Dubois; Gorman; Usyk; Gassiev; Hunter; and unfortunately Miller. Ajagba maybe after another two or three fights.

Re: BoxRec Forum HW TOP 15 Ranking - Question
btw, next month we will get some good, evenly matched, B/C level HW fights, some of them are fights of undefeated prospects:
Whyte vs Rivas
Chisora vs Szpilka
Joyce vs Jennings
Gorman vs Dubois
Ajagba vs Demirezen
Gassiev vs Dawejko
Ugonoh vs Rozanski
i like this type of match-ups

Re: BoxRec Forum HW TOP 15 Ranking - Question
Yes. And I'd include the Agagbe fight. Several posters have already said they think he's top 15.
I think the winner of his next fight is borderline top 15.

you mean Ajagba? if yes, his fight is already there (Demirezen vs Ajagba)tiny_acres wrote: ↑09 Jun 2019, 19:50 Yes. And I'd include the Agagbe fight. Several posters have already said they think he's top 15.

Re: BoxRec Forum HW TOP 15 Ranking - Question
I know, it'll be an exciting month or so. A lot can change the HW landscape in the next several weeks. I'd like to see Ajagba more fluid his next fight. Some improvement there and his head movement would be nice to see. Whyte vs Rivas should be tremendous as Gorman vs Dubois and Joyce Jennings. Not too interested in Joyce/Szpilka or Ugonoh/Razanski. Gassiev vs Dawejko I'm mixed about. I think Joey D a tough first foray into HW.dagilechia wrote: ↑09 Jun 2019, 19:48 btw, next month we will get some good, evenly matched, B/C level HW fights, some of them are fights of undefeated prospects:

My favorite prospect, but he's no where near top 15.tiny_acres wrote: ↑09 Jun 2019, 19:50 Yes. And I'd include the Agagbe fight. Several posters have already said they think he's top 15.

Re: BoxRec Forum HW TOP 15 Ranking - Question
Dawejko is tough, i expect Gassiev to win, but after a close bout, 97-93, 97-93, 96-94 type of decision. Dawejko's definitely better than his resume suggest.oogiebe wrote: ↑09 Jun 2019, 19:52 I know, it'll be an exciting month or so. A lot can change the HW landscape in the next several weeks. I would like to see Dawejko vs Sokołowski. Underrated fighters who don't give a fornicate about their records
Chisora vs Szpilka and Ugonoh vs Różański are maybe not 50/50 but still those are well matched fights. and what is the most important - there is a big chance that they will be decent scrap that will end up with spectacular KO's
Re: BoxRec Forum HW TOP 15 Ranking - Question
Don't get ahead of yourself. Beating a couple of guys who used to have a name (Mansaur & Wallisch) isn't new to prospect matchups and don't show whether Efe can compete with guys like Hunter or Joyce just yet (even Carmen or Kean). He has a lot of work to do before he's knocking on the door. There are a dozen guys ahead of him knocking on top 25. This upcoming fight, no matter the outcome, puts neither guy in top 25. Maybe another two step up fights and he'll be there, if he keeps on winning.tiny_acres wrote: ↑09 Jun 2019, 19:54 If he wins this next fight he will have 3 solid wins in a row. And quite possibly the best recent resume of anyone outside of the top 15

if he knocks Demirezen out in a good fashion i will probably vote him to enter the list at #15tiny_acres wrote: ↑09 Jun 2019, 19:54 If he wins this next fight he will have 3 solid wins in a row. And quite possibly the best recent resume of anyone outside of the top 15

me too, those guys deserve more appreciation and to earn more than they actually do. true fighters.
they screwed Sokołowski against Browne. he should win 60-53 or 59-54.

Wow! I thought I was Efe's biggest fan. I just don't see that. Too many guys who can give him a real tough time or outright beat him in the top 30.dagilechia wrote: ↑09 Jun 2019, 20:01 if he knocks Demirezen out in a good fashion i will probably vote him to enter the list at #15

Re: BoxRec Forum HW TOP 15 Ranking - Question
imo if he knocks Demirezen out, it would be enough to vote him above Breazeale. but if Joyce will look good vs Jennings, i will probably vote on him. also, if someone will dominate in the Gorman vs Dubois fight, he'll be very close to the #15.

Re: BoxRec Forum HW TOP 15 Ranking - Question
now - he shouldn't, but if he defeats Demirezen with ease - why not. with a win over Demirezen, his record would look better than Hrgović's record and we have him at #12.
Re: BoxRec Forum HW TOP 15 Ranking - Question
You are doing all the work. Do as you see fit.dagilechia wrote: ↑09 Jun 2019, 20:05 imo if he knocks Demirezen out, it would be enough to vote him above Breazeale. but if Joyce will look good vs Jennings, i will probably vote on him. also, if someone will dominate in the Gorman vs Dubois fight, he'll be very close to the #15.
I could see 11 - 15 being a revolving door based on the latest wins.
Re: BoxRec Forum HW TOP 15 Ranking - Question
That would be my answer adding "or any fight that looks like it could potentially impact the top 15" by which I mean that voters having voted decide that the winner doesn't make the top 15, but prior to the vote it looked like he could do.
Re: BoxRec Forum HW TOP 15 Ranking - Question
Yeah, a vote on fringe fights would suffice. If anyone blows us away they may enter the top 15 as a result
Re: BoxRec Forum HW TOP 15 Ranking - Question
there should defo be a way to vote in guys from outside the top 15, a lot if not most fighters break into the top 15 w/o actually beating a top 15 rated guy
in fact, beating someone in the top 15 is often good enough to get well into the top 10 following the win. pretty much always a guys rating in a division is higher then what the rating was of the best guy hes actually beaten

Re: BoxRec Forum HW TOP 15 Ranking - Question
I think you should have Mike Hunter as number 16 as you voted him in, he is now out because of Ruiz. If you have others that were in then out you should just expand the ratings. But fundamentally to make the top 15 you should beat somebody in it...FULL STOP .
