well if hes already on the way down from a right that doesnt really show a left hook dropping him, not that wilder couldnt do that too but im surprised ppl watch that and see it as a left hook knockdown

I'm probably mistaken but didn't Fury fight mostly right handed against Wilder? Ever since Rogan he's fought almost always left handed. Maybe in the rematch he'll switch stances more often to keep Wilder more off balance.

Might've been a strategy due to the fact that lead rights are supposedly one of best weapons against a Southpaw. Maybe he figured he'd defend the right better from the orthodox stance.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑09 Jun 2019, 17:00 I'm probably mistaken but didn't Fury fight mostly right handed against Wilder? Have not many people been able to watch the Fury Wilder fight back?
I agree, Wilder definitely caught Fury flush with the left as Fury was falling back and down from the right.
Wilder's punch output was slightly lower than usual, but his accuracy was completely off. This was caused by Fury's movement.
Fury's output was also down, similar to when he fought Klitschko, but he had the superior accuracy. Landing the more telling shots round on round (both statistically and through the eye test). Though, Wilder did win a close round or two, excluding the 9th and 12th.
I think Fury got too confident after Wilder gassed in the 10th and it became one way traffic (Wilder landed only a single punch). His trainer warned him just to see out the fight...
BUT Wilder is always dangerous. It is hard to concentrate for 12 rounds if your fitness is not there; often it is the ability to see out a game that separates the top athletes in any sport.
Can a fit Fury concentrate for 12? Again all it takes is that one shot from Wilder to end it.
Fury is probably #1, but I'm basing this on the presumption he is getting fitter.
