Is it me or has this defeat increased Joshua's fame more than ever.

His name is on everyone's lips, if he had won no one would have given a crap.

All publicity is good publicity, if he wins the rematch he could well be an even bigger star than he was before.

i think it at least makes the rematch a really big fight, bigger then fury-wilder 2

Obviously they never intended for it to happen. However, if he wins the rematch at MSG, then has a homecoming fight at Wembley next spring (having not fought in the UK for over a year), it is almost guaranteed to sell out.

If he had beaten Ruiz in 3 rounds, then fought Pulev or someone later in the year under the shadow of a Wilder/Fury rematch, people would start to get bored with him.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Ruiz/Joshua 2 gets more viewers on both sides of the atlantic than Wilder/Fury 2 does.
