The World Boxing Council is proud to be part of the Amir Khan vs. Neeraj Goyat fight, which will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on July 12, 2019.

Amir Khan met with Jose Sulaiman in Dallas, Texas on November 2010 and Amir shared his dream with our late President, which has always been to make a statement through boxing for peace in the world.

Pope Francis entrusted the WBC to develop BoxVal (Boxing with Values), a program in which boxing is used throughout the world to teach values to trainers and boxers, as well as society at large with a wide diversity of activations.

Amir Khan participated in the first ever BoxVal Program when he fought Saul Canelo Alvarez in a fight which was built as Fighting for Peace. Canelo Alvarez, a Catholic, vs. Amir Khan, a Muslim entered into the ring with a message for peace and planted the Olive tree together during such event.

The WBC is proud of Amir Khan representing Pakistan and the U.K. and Neeraj Goyat representing India.

The WBC has prepared a beautiful belt which will be presented as a commemorative trophy to the winner of this fight, as a sign of peace while developing boxing in the two great counties of Pakistan and India.

Well....
At least this commemorative belt is far more tasteful than the horrific monstrosities than Alvarez has had to take home

I think they said it should be. It’s not a bad looking belt.

I don't blame him either.

$7 million for an exhibition is a no brainer in anyone's books.

Welterweight Amir Khan has changed trainers. The British star has parted ways with Virgil Hunter and rather than train with him near Oakland, California, Khan will train in his hometown of Bolton, England, with Clarence “Bones” Adams, a former junior featherweight world titlist, and Alex Ariza in preparation for his July 12 fight with Neeraj Goyat in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It was Hunter who made the ultimate decision to stop Khan’s April 20 fight with world titlist Terence Crawford in the sixth round after Khan was hit with an accidental low blow.

I'm surprised he's not at the Danny Williams, I'll just train myself stage just yet. I think mentally he retired years ago and he's just going through the motions.

I have followed Goyat's career closely. He will beat Kahn by KO.

The guy is an animal.

This doesn't surprise me.

Hunter criticised Khan's work ethic in training and the last thing a deluded fighter wants to hear is the truth.

Amir Khan says he may retire if he does not feel good when facing Neeraj Goyat

Amir Khan expects to retire if he does not perform or "feel good" when he faces Neeraj Goyat on 12 July.

"Let's see how I feel in this fight. If I don't feel like myself, I'll probably just call it a day," Khan said.

The former super-lightweight world champion told BBC Sport: "I want to be the one who makes that decision. I don't want to be forced to retire.

"I have achieved what I wanted to achieve in the sport, so it's now just enjoying the sport. I want to see how I feel in the fight and take it from there.

"If things didn't go the right way or I don't feel good I know myself I would hang up the gloves right away."

'Crawford beats Brook easily'

"I've had defeats before and it's how you come back," said Khan, who now has 33 wins and five defeats.

"I wanted to do it quick instead of staying out of the ring for a long time, get out of shape and then start a camp.

"After that Crawford fight, I want a nice tune-up fight to get back up to winning ways and then step it up again.

"I couldn't finish my career off with a loss like that. The more time I spent out of the ring, the more likely I would say I am going to call it a day."

Goyat, 27, is a former MMA fighter and has 11 wins, three losses and two draws in the boxing ring.

Khan hopes a win might open a route to a fight with Pacquiao, and he has not closed the door on facing Brook, who this week dispelled rumours of his own retirement by stating he hopes to take on Crawford next.

"Brook and Crawford can happen," said Khan. "I think Crawford would win quite easily. Crawford is very skilful; he's up there with one of the best I have faced.

"I don't know what Brook is doing. When we started talks, it went quiet. I can't waste time negotiating, I want to be busy now, keep fighting and if the fight comes on the table I will take it."

Isn’t it just Khan Promotions? He founded it ages ago.

Scott Alexander is likely going to be the next opponent for former heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin, who returns next month in Saudi Arabia.

"Alexander is a possible contender for the bout," the source said.

Scott Alexander, 30, who resides and practices in Los Angeles, has a record of 14 wins (8 by KOs), three defeats and two draws.
