1-40 odds if u bet on Fury but only 14 1/2 to 1 if u bet on Schwarz. I'm reading it right, right?

Arum says that Schwarz is "a hell of a lot more formidable than Andy Ruiz."

I wonder if Arum is being honest with us or has decided that this is one of those lying days?

Undoubtedly if this fight was on ESPN PPV instead of the cheapo app, Arum would insist that it will attract more than 1 million buys, just as he promised for Crawford-Khan. Last I heard, that fight fell short of his prediction by more than 800,000.

That's a big lie even for Arum.

Just a hunch that Arum might have a wee bit of a grudge because Ruiz jumped ship to PBC.

If Ruiz had KO'd Joshua under the TR banner, Arum would be assuring us that Ruiz is the finest fighter he has seen since Muhammad Ali. A 268 pound combination of Lomachenko and Crawford.

Everything that Arum says publicly should be assumed to be a lie until proven otherwise.

Not at all. Ruiz only displayed a small chunk of what he's capable of when he dismantled Joshua.

He held back so as not to scare off any future opponents.

Surprised Arum can't see that. He's probably just blinded by his sudden man-love for Fury.

Arum isn't blinded by anything, he's just a chronic liar.

As I've posted before: Promoter=liar. They all do it and I pretty much can't stand any of them. Arum has been doing it the longest (with perhaps the exception of Don King) out of all the active promoters today.

That's because Arum always comes out with memorable comments.

But I don't have any specific problem with Arum. In his heyday, I always preferred him to King.

He's no different than any other promoter. BS is part of the job.

Wouldn’t it be funny if Schwarz KO’s Fury. Unlikely, but we could all change at HW with Ruiz, Schwarz and Ortiz holding the belts. Stranger things have happened.

I'm no Fury fan, but simply having Schwarz putting some kind of scare into Tyson during the fight will suffice for me. I hope he wins. We've already had one stunning upset at the top of the division, we don't need anymore just yet.

I like Fury, but as soon as he starts showboating I'm going to start rooting for Schwarz. Nothing annoys me more than a boxer clowning an overmatched opponent.

I was watching Schwarz' hilarious brawl with Gashi.

Schwarz is bad. Wide, wild swings. Very hittable.

A couple of times it looked like he wanted to quit. Especially when he went down from.a head butt under his chin.

No wonder he was chosen.

Follow that advice and you won't go wrong. I wonder if Arum has ever said anything that didn't show him in a good light / worked to his disadvantage, simply because it was the truth?

I don't really wonder. I'm not that naive.

I heard that there wasn't many people at the press conference. It's a hard sell, understandably, because nobody has really ever heard of Schwarz.

But I've seen the big German on the mitts and he actually moves around really well for a man nearly 6'6" and 250 pounds. So I think this will be a bit more difficult than people think. Fury will most likely win, 90% confident in that. But I do think there might be moments in there that will be high tension.

Schwarz looks far better on the mitts than he does in the ring.

Maybe so, but sometimes people "rise to the occasion" and pull out a better performance than usual. I'm thinking 80-90% chance Fury wins. Moments of high tension. Fury may be too loose and relaxed, and maybe does somewhat overlook Schwarz despite publicly saying Schwarz is a challenge. I can see Fury getting hit and shook up momentarily, and then gets serious against Schwarz. Kinda like the one fight with Firtha.
