Big of a Fury fan as I am if that's remotely true, that's as undeserving as AJ vs Martin for the IBF title.

The WBO Championship..... Fury-Schwarz?????
According to latest Facebook posts there's a rumour that the WBO title will be up for grabs potentially in the Fury-Schwarz fight which makes a modicum of sense considering Ruiz has only been walking around with the IBF & WBA belts in his interviews.

Martin already had won the IBF title. Just in a flukish way.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑11 Jun 2019, 18:27 According to latest Facebook posts there's a rumour that the WBO title will be up for grabs potentially in the Fury-Schwarz fight which makes a modicum of sense considering Ruiz has only been walking around with the IBF & WBA belts in his interviews.

Re: The WBO Championship..... Fury-Schwarz?????
It'd have been more apt to compare it to the fight where Martin won the title. I don't even remember the name of the dude he was fighting to be honest. One of the weaker vacant title bouts in recent memory, and it produced one of the weaker titleholders in recent memory.
By comparison Fury vs Schwarz will be better than that, but there's really no logical reason to be stripping Andy Ruiz of anything when he just beat the #1 guy in the division, and is gonna be rematching him in a perfectly reasonable rematch. The fact that Champions get stripped in situations like this is sickening, and a huge detriment to the sport. These title organizations should lose all credibility for having such asinine policies.

I'll grant you that it'd of been more apt
and yes, absolutely sickening.

Tyson Fury himself is the only 'source' for this rumor. Click bait.

Schwarz does hold the coveted WBO Intercontinental championship.
Perhaps that glitzy belt is on the line.

Not true. They don't have to rebut every stupid thing someone says.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑11 Jun 2019, 20:29 But the WBO hasn't rebutted the claim either. If it was hogwash they'd of done so not long after it was said, no?

I never am comfortable question boxing orgs nonsense but they haven't demanded him to do anything. Is it just because he's fat? The ibf is the strictest one.
Re: The WBO Championship..... Fury-Schwarz?????
That isn’t happening. Ruiz v AJ won’t be announced before Fury fights. Even so, it’s a joke that WBO are even considering stripping Ruiz.
Re: The WBO Championship..... Fury-Schwarz?????
I doubt this will be for the title, but as I said on another thread, I can see it being a WBO final eliminator (Fury is co-promoted by both Arum and Warren after all)
If Ruiz has 4 months to face the winner and Fury refuses step aside money, then he will be stripped and we could see Fury pick up the vacant WBO strap by the end of the year.

If it was being stripped and potentially up for grabs, it should be between the winner of this (#2v#3) Vs the winner of Whyte(#1) v Rivas(#4). Anything else would be a joke.
