No, I don't. America had nothing to do with this. Why would Vegas care? You think enough people bet on this for them to give a fornicate? Get a grip dude. Boxing is probably the best sport to bet in Vegas because day by day they couldn't care less. It's not a top 15 sport here, the handle on this was nothing.

That rabbit punch was 100% intentional. When it was thrown, the face was already turned out and the only reason that the punch was ineffective is that Briedis ducked his head before it landed.dagilechia wrote: ↑15 Jun 2019, 18:47 A huge % of fighters commit an unintenional foul in a sport like boxing, in a lot of fights, every week. Almost knocking out someone with an elbow punch in boxing happens few times per century.

Unless Vegas was protecting the Cuban in the final.

I didnt meant that USA has something to do with that. I just meant the Nevada-based pair who officiated this fight. You have completely missied the point, i wasnt even thinking about bets casinos and stuff lolOnetimeonly wrote: ↑15 Jun 2019, 18:54 No, I don't. America had nothing to do with this. Should Holy be dq'd before Tyson's ear bite?boxing_rocks wrote: ↑15 Jun 2019, 18:54 That rabbit punch was 100% intentional. When it was thrown, the face was already turned out and the only reason that the punch was ineffective is that Briedis ducked his head before it landed.

Wouldn't be surprised if that has something to do with why WBC withdrew thier belt from the stake of this fight.

Did the WBC not give specific reasons?dagilechia wrote: ↑15 Jun 2019, 19:05 Wouldn't be surprised if that has something to do with why WBC withdrew thier belt from the stake of this fight.

Possibly. That would've prevented the bite.

Dude, seriously. Stop with the whataboutery already. There’s no comparison. Rabbit punches happen all the time and they may qualify for a mere warning and only if someone is doing it repeatedly. Elbow is completely different story. First and foremost you’re allowed to hit your opponent with the glove but you can’t hit with elbow. It’s like a blatant headbutt or kick.boxing_rocks wrote: ↑15 Jun 2019, 18:54 That rabbit punch was 100% intentional. I knew that briedis' people are behind wbss before the 2 season was even announced (and i knew that from someone who knows people like Hearn nd Haymon in person) usyk cards, gevor cards, this fight, byrds involved, a lot of big wbss fights staged in small Latvia, this is not a coincidence. The final will be probably held in Riga, mark my words.

Most of rabbit punches happen when a fighter turns after a punch is thrown. This one was intentional and when a ref was breaking them.TempleSlave wrote: ↑15 Jun 2019, 19:06 Dude, seriously. The veterans fell into a clinch with 40 remaining in Round 2, Glowacki landed a punch to the back of Briedis’ head as Byrd was breaking them up, and the Latvian star answered the foul with an equally egregious one, a quick right elbow to the Polish fighter’s jaw.
