Question: How are the rankings affected by πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Tyson Fury's (#1) KO 2 win over πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ Tom Schwarz (unranked, BoxRec's #56)

My vote: Fury remains at #1, Schwarz remains unranked.

This voting will last until 22.06.2019.

Well, today everything is too obvious. The Gypsy King remains on top, Schwarz remains out of the top 15.

If it was a 12 round snoozer, there might be an argument to drop Fury a place, but since he obliterated whatsaname, I think he stays at #1

So.... You would drop Ali down the rankings when he fought guys like Coopman? Or when Louis fought Davis? Aren't people entitled to fight an easy one now and then and still be regarded as number one?

Yeah, I can't understand why you should change your opinion to please the popular vote. Though our leader is losing his shit, lol, wouldn't be surprised if he bolts.

Obviously no change. People are not respecting the existing democratic ranking.

I did consider whether Fury (or anyone else for that matter) should drop places for facing substandard opposition. If he'd struggled then I might have done.

...generally speaking I support this idea..in this case though, Tyson basically annihilated his opponent, plus you can't move him down because the next one in line is WIlder who according to the majority fans and experts lost to Tyson..

Yeah he was excellent albeit against poor opposition. He's light years ahead of Wilder and Joshua ability wise. But he always was. Furys got to walk the walk consistently now. If he stays in good health I think he will.

..speaking of his mental state I just came across this interview. ..a couple of things there I've never heard before:

That's why I think things can never be guaranteed with Fury. I'm delighted that he feels good about himself and I hope his mental health issues are behind him. The thing with anxiety and depression is that you really don't know how you're going to feel the next day until you wake up in the morning

Schwarz, as I stated yesterday, looked better in old youtube clips than I expected. but then again, I don't look too bad against a heavy bag. :OhYes:

Ha ha! I was hoping that Schwarz would be able to put up a better fight, but damn Fury was awesome...which brings me back again to the heavyweight weight classification because a guy like me, if i was still boxing, at 6' around 210, or Usyk when he turns heavy, has to be in the same division as giants like Fury. 6'6" 246 pound Schwarz looked small next to him!

It was only a week ago that Ruiz proved that a better skilled small guy can topple a giant.

A week later you want the weights reclassified?

Fury beat a guy that shouldn't have been in the ring with him. No need to overreact and change all the weight divisions.
