It doesn’t make any sense for Fury to risk the Wilder payday by engaging in a WBC title eliminator against Dillian Whyte, since ‘The Gypsy King’ is already guaranteed his shot against ‘The Bronze Bomber’.
That being said, I agree with you, a Fury-Whyte fight would be good to watch, but there are no compelling business reasons for them to face each other anytime soon.
