Andy Ruiz height

Post by FruitStealer »

For me its clear that the listed 6'2 height is laughable.
Im quite sure he's under 6 foot, not only because Joshua was towering over him.
He has some appearances with celebrities recently all listed at 180-181 cm (OBJ, Jimmy Kimmel) and he didnt look at all taller than them.
So we got a new champion under 6 foot again (Marciano, Tyson, etc).

I wonder where are the trolls who said that midgets under 6'2 would never again be heavyweight champs in this era of giants.
Luis Fernando where are you? you said that even Povetkin who truly is 6'2 should be forbidden to ever enter a ring with Joshua or wilder.
BTW, Wilder was knocked out (at the olimpics) by a 6 foot guy (eugeny romanov).

Hopefully this will end all that nonsense for good. Sometimes we have to see it to believe it.

If any of those 'midget' heavyweights, Dempsey, Louis, Marciano, Liston, Shavers, Tyson, Tua, Ruiz etc hit you right, you stay hit no matter what size you are.

That punch that caught Joshua behind the ear scrambled his balance for rest of the fight. Terrible place to get hit.

It won't end the nonsense.

Those who adhere to this ridiculous attitude will simply blame Joshua for fighting small and stupid.

So they'll continue to insist tiny heavyweights (i.e. those under 6'6") can only beat the behemoths if the giants don't use their physical advantages smartly.

No credit will be given to the Ruiz/Usyk types for successfully exploiting the big guys' technical flaws.

Joseph Parker is said to be 6'4" and Ruiz didn't look that much shorter than him, I reckon Ruiz is at least 6'1", maybe a bit taller.

He looks a legit 6'2" to me.

Fat guys always appear shorter than they really are. You're more focused on their circumference rather than their height.

Tony Galento appeared to be about 5 foot tall at most. That's because he was a very wide 235 lbs. He was almost wider than he was tall.

But he was really a normal sized guy for the times. About 5'9".

Ruiz is taller than average.
