Guys who should be getting opportunities

Post by world ranked »

Name an ACTIVE guy who should be given an opportunity to step up in a big fight who's not getting opportunity for whatever reason. Exclude Dillan Whyte.

That would have an easy answer and actually prompt me to ask the question. I looking for more of an underrated guy.

He recently got an opportunity, but did so well in it that I hope to see Yordenis Ugas get a 2nd opportunity at some point.

One of the more criminal cases I can think of. Oscar Escandon got like 2 title shots right? Well a guy that shut him out every single round, and was robbed in one of the worst robberies I've ever seen has essentially faded into obscurity and received no opportunities of any note. That man's name is Tyson Cave. He's probably slipped by now, as that robbery was a long time ago, but it's disgraceful that Escandon got title shots, and this man who was obviously WAY more talented than him got nothing.

That was shame how Tyson Cave was treated . The WBA did nothing to rectify this.

If anything they might oughta slow their roll with this kid. Opportunities are undoubtedly coming for him, but they might not need to come so soon. They're trying to rush him into a Loma fight when he ain't ready for that.

I think Teofimo is ready (and willing) to face the best. The soft-matching would only harm his career.

He's like 21 years old. He could use some seasoning. At the very least they might oughta match him against some Top 10 kinda contenders before just leap frogging straight into the ring with the #1 P4P guy in the goddamn sport.

I would like to see him against Davis tomorrow (if Davis has bal.l.s to move up at 135).

Sad. The soft-matching killing boxing, especially last several years. I don't like UFC/MMA, but I can understand why the young people don't want to follow boxing.

But who's MMA stars everytime the MMA has the big thing it loses. I can see why both philosophies work. We as consumer what the best fighting the best but in MMA it's hard to follow stars because they lose so often.

John Ryder, he has picked up a few domestic/euro level wins but I yet to have a world title shot.

He was unlucky that Lemieux pulled out of their recent bout imo and now looks like he might be fed to Callum Smith instead.

I don't know that hes ready or not, but if it isn't soon it's never going to happen. I think he can beat loma
