I liked when Hatton kept getting lowblowed by Kosta and did the most blatant punch to the bollocks in return.
I was one of the few defending Floyd for cheapshotting Ortiz after the headbutt.

Yes its boxing, but it's a FIGHT. You cant allow someone to bully and dirty you. If the ref isn't helping then help yourself...

I'd say this to the man himself if I ever spoke to him. Because other than that I'd have a pleasant conversation with him I expect, but I'd have to acknowledge this to him. Just to let him know that I know.

Oh that's what he's referring to? I don't think I've ever even logged onto that site. I might've clicked a link to a story from there a time or two, but I've never been on their forum.

So apparently they had a guy called gilgamesh and he thinks I'm that guy.

I've joined other forums before that already had a gilgamesh, and I signed on as thefamousgilgamesh because...ya know, I'm the good one

But usually I never wind up making more than a handful of posts on those. This one or the13thround is where you'll see me doing my Boxing talking on the interwebs. And occasionally Twitter maybe.

Any other gilgamesh you see elsewhere is a cheap imitation :OhYes:

Besides, if BS banned every stupid poster, they'd have no one. I was there before discovering BoxRec. It's a trolling nightmare.

It was amazing how many actually came down on Mayweather for giving Ortiz what he deserved.

Ortiz purposely rams his head into Mayweather's face, and legions decry Mayweather taking advantage of Ortiz' stupidity.

And it wasn't even a return foul on Floyd's part. Action had resumed.

When a fighter gets dirty, get him back by getting even dirtier.

There was nothing legitimate in that stoppage.

Kovalev would've likely lost that fight, because he was visibly gassing, but that horrendous stoppage deprived us from seeing a fare outcome.

Yep. I've never expressed doubt that the fight was turning Ward's way, and he was likely to win anyhow, but that doesn't make a TKO victory off of low blows fair.

People focus on the belt shots, but the right hand that preceded it was the finisher. That had Kovy on queer street.

And all of that came after Kovy turned his back on Ward the round before.

The only shame in it all is that Ward endured criticism for a great performance.

What SHOULD have happened was a standing 10 count. Kovy couldve stayed sat down and quit or got up and been properly finished

I'm not even saying you have to "one up" your opponent, but you need to communicate "I'm not going to let you dirty me"

Floyd did exactly that and people jumped on him like he was some cheapshotter. Nothing dirty at all..its a fight and Ortiz wanted to hug.

Mentally Ortiz was through by that point
