Whyte is tougher, but Jennings a better boxer. So yeah, I agree.
Dillian Whyte could be in danger of being pushed down the WBC Ratings if insults continue

To your first question, I think the Adonis Stevenson situation was about the same.chinarich wrote: ↑20 Jun 2019, 17:53 It’s an absolute disgrace, has any fighter maintained the putative number one position longer without getting a shot?
Of course, the cynic in me suggests that Hearn will only be all in with getting Whyte his shot because following AJ’s defeat he no longer has a HW Champ on his books...
As for Eddie scrambling for a HW champ, maybe, but Whyte ain't gonna be that guy.
Re: Dillian Whyte could be in danger of being pushed down the WBC Ratings if insults continue
hes not a huge fight for them, though tbh not many bigger fights for them., and for all the talk of hw super fights weve only seen 1 fight of the big 3. so realistically your looking at guys like whyte as being among the best out there
either way, bizarre to cheer on the wbc and there legal threats over one of the few guys regularly fighting good opposition. the molina-breazeale final eliminator was a total joke, 6 vs 12 for mandatory lol !!

Agree on Whyte’s boxing skills. I watched a YouTube video earlier with him on the pads with Nigel Benn and frankly he didn’t look good at all. Benn trying to get him to do things (like pivoting away) and he just seemed lost...

To me it was hitting back and hopefully shutting up the BS that I'm sick of hearing, that being negotiating and posturing in public. I've said umpteen times that Whyte fought his way into a title shot. He refused AJ and has been put off by the WBC, but I'm sick of hearing about it. I'm sick of hearing that Wilder is ducking him. I'm sick of all of it. If Whyte gets past Rivas, hopefully he'll get his shot some time after a Wilder/Fury rematch. If he doesn't, he doesn't. He's overrated. Went life and death with Chisora. It's still a business. No one in the US is interested in Dillian Whyte.jamamb wrote: ↑20 Jun 2019, 17:56 hes not a huge fight for them, though tbh not many bigger fights for them., and for all the talk of hw super fights weve only seen 1 fight of the big 3. so realistically your looking at guys like whyte as being among the best out there

Whyte has suddenly been deemed some kind of giant killer by some posters. I just don't get it.
Re: Dillian Whyte could be in danger of being pushed down the WBC Ratings if insults continue
He’s a tough guy as I think you said and he’s going to be too much for most of the division but I don’t rate his skills at all really. I just feel that he deserves his shot because of the way the WBC have positioned him. Let’s be candid here, I think he lost to Chisora the first time round and Chisora was ahead on the cards when he caught him in the second fight, so that’s his level...
Re: Dillian Whyte could be in danger of being pushed down the WBC Ratings if insults continue
I think we agree 100%. He's earned a shot, but his timing sucks. Should have taken the AJ rematch.chinarich wrote: ↑20 Jun 2019, 18:11 He’s a tough guy as I think you said and he’s going to be too much for most of the division but I don’t rate his skills at all really. Re: Dillian Whyte could be in danger of being pushed down the WBC Ratings if insults continue
Yes, I think he should have taken it, but maybe he didn’t think he’d win and would get more money eventually facing Wilder. Who knows? Perhaps he wasn’t confident that he’d beat AJ, and I actually don’t think he would...
Re: Dillian Whyte could be in danger of being pushed down the WBC Ratings if insults continue
Now his best route may be the other way. AJ looks more vulnerable and Ruiz more beatable than Wilder or Fury.
Re: Dillian Whyte could be in danger of being pushed down the WBC Ratings if insults continue
I don't really get that vibe from anybody on Whyte. Many people believe he deserves his title shot as he's done more than most any other contender to earn a fight against one of the big names of the division, but I don't think many really give him much of a shot against Wilder or Fury or anyone else at the top.
Maybe Andy Ruiz. Not sure how people feel that matchup would go.
Re: Dillian Whyte could be in danger of being pushed down the WBC Ratings if insults continue
I give him a 40% shot agaisnt AJ, Wilder and 50 against Ruiz. Fury I believe beats him handily.

He definitely deserves his shot, he won’t win but he should get his chance, I’d give him a better chance of beating AJ.
Re: Dillian Whyte could be in danger of being pushed down the WBC Ratings if insults continue
This is a disgrace, no?
Point out the truth about us and we will drop you in the rankings even though we've ignored you are our number one contender for close to two years?
Whyte should withdraw himself from the wbc rankings. They have no intention of giving him a shot anyway

It even says in the piece that you quoted that he turned down a mandatory bout against Ortiz.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑18 Jun 2019, 10:30 The WBC do their upmost to prevent Dillian Whyte for challenging for their title and they’re threatening to break their own rules and demote ‘The Body Snatcher’ down their rankings, simply because the Brit has aired his entirely reasonable frustrations about their actions!!!

Instead of whining about the WBC enforcing it's mandatories, which it has always been lax to do(this is nothing new ) Whyte should have gone down the IBF route where he would have had a guaranteed title fight after participating in the eliminators.
However that seems too difficult a concept for him and his team to understand (Probably because Hearn wanted to try and get all the belts instead so he can keep it in house)

I posted the article as-is, regardless of any errors it may have contained.Nondescript wrote: ↑21 Jun 2019, 10:42 It even says in the piece that you quoted that he turned down a mandatory bout against Ortiz.
On the 25th April 2018, the WBC officially ordered the final eliminator between Luis Ortiz and Dillian Whyte.
The Cuban allegedly declined the opportunity to face Dillian Whyte on the 28th July 2018, because he claimed the scheduled fight-date was too soon for him. However, Ortiz actually ended up fighting on that date anyway, when he engaged in the preposterous Razvan Cojanu mismatch.
Meanwhile, Dillian Whyte had to find an alternative opponent for his 28th July bout, so he chose to face an even better fighter named Joseph Parker.
I’ve posted this information countless times to this forum already.

Where is the actual proof that Ortiz turned down the fight though, I mean outside of Whyte/the Matchroom camp?Enlightened-One wrote: ↑21 Jun 2019, 11:03 I posted the article as-is, regardless of any errors it may have contained.

Believe whatever you want – that’s your prerogative.Nondescript wrote: ↑21 Jun 2019, 11:05 Where is the actual proof that Ortiz turned down the fight though, I mean outside of Whyte/the Matchroom camp?
Eddie Hearn and Dillian Whyte both claimed that Luis Ortiz rejected a $2.54m offer to face him. I don’t believe this claim has been refuted by the Cuban’s team. I can't prove silence.
Eddie Hearn also claimed that Luis Ortiz rejected multiple offers to face Anthony Joshua.
The Cuban’s team initially refuted those claims, by stating that they’d been low-balled, but when the Matchroom boss threatened to expose their lies, they eventually came clean and conceded the errors of their ways.
So even if Team Ortiz refuted Dillian Whyte’s claim, how reliable are they? Can you really trust what they say, when they've openly admitted to lying?
All I know is that I can prove that Eddie and Dillian made those claims about Luis Ortiz.
If you want to pretend that the “fearsome” King Kong Luis Ortiz has never turned down the opportunity to face any of his peers, that’s up to you.
Either way, believe whatever you want.
By the way, don't you find it rather interesting that none of Luis Ortiz’s handlers has ever attempted to make the Dillian Whyte fight, by initiating contract negotiations?
Don’t you also find it interesting that Ortiz only needs to face the likes of Cojanu, Kauffman & Hammer to receive a second world title opportunity, but Whyte has been ignored, despite recently facing the likes of Browne, Parker, Chisora & Rivas?
