Brook had plenty of talent. I had it 4-4 with Spence after 8 (though the tide had turned). Don't understand why he traded with Golovkin. His tactics seemed to be to fight Golovkin like he was just another welterweight. I thought he'd be much more defensive and look to box his way to winning 7 rounds. Instead he tried to unload.

Hes a bit fucked either way for me. Plainly gonna struggle to make 147 again but looks like he's willing to for a "BIG" fight - in which he'll get his arse kicked - if its Crawford for definite, even think it would be a bit of a leveler against khan now.

At 154 - the best who are fighting there would maul him now. Think Liam smith would be a good fight but would slightly favour smith.

Shame, thought he was a great talent but don't think we ever seen his absolute prime.

The thread title should be edited as Brook has dismissed these rumours as false

Honestly could'nt care less what he does , I don't live close enough to say i'm not going ,..... I don't live in the UK so i would'nt be close enough to go , if i wanted too which i would'nt

, but i live far enough away , i can say I would never buy , ........ Because i don't live close , enough to go , i would have to buy ppv , which i would'nt do .

I would'nt even watch on U TUBE a week after for free..... Because i don't live close enough to go , and because i would'nt buy it on ppv , , I would'nt even watch him for free on u tube

Hope this clears it up for you :OhYes: :TU:

No, Spence is too good, Golovkin was always going to beat him up too. He was run down with flu and still smashed his face in, nearly had him out of there 1st round.
Wasted career for me after the Porter fight, it was all set up.

I’d still call that a 50-50 fight.

Going off last bout, he tried proving a point by weighing 150 pounds. He looked shît!

We'll never know but I agree with Deserter. Kell is underrated though.

Wasn’t he ranked as the best WW at one point? I think Ring had him as number 1 as well.

I wouldn't say Kell is underrated. Most people have talked up his ability as a figher (or former ability) - however he's been criticised for having a lacklustre career in that despite having that ability, for the majority of his career, he never was willing to truly test himself against the best.

Yeah I think he's more underachieved than underrated

Yeh. Definately.

I think he actually achieved all he was going to anyway.

He had a chance of unification when Vargas was the WBO champion. Brexit fvcked that up. Hearn didn't have DAZN money at the time..

He was never going to unify when he won the IBF. Dan, Gavin, Bizier.

Fakin ell. Not a single good defence!

I don't see how Brexit caused that fight not to happen, or the lack of DAZN funds. It could have easily been put in sky sports PPV. Neither are huge draws and should be expecting some Mayweathef type money, even if it would have been a unification.

Where you not following boxing the time?

It was going to be a PPV on Sky. At Sheff’s stadium. Vargas was gonna be paid around $1.7 million or so, the £ as you know dropped big time during the referendum, so exchange rates etc. Meaning they would have to pay him more £’s to make up the $’s.

Uncle Bob explained it too.

Also reason why I mentioned DAZN, I believe had Matchroom had the deal with DAZN back then, they would have packed their bags and had the fight in the US.

Hard to understand why Crawford doesn't want Brook ?

Would sell well in the UK and US, good pension for Brook and a great name on Bud's record for (relatively) little risk. :witzend:
