It’s a bit ironic that you start one of the most poorly conceived threads of the year, then complain about the responses ![[icon_shame.gif] :shame:](./images/smilies/icon_shame.gif)

But there's the usual group who believe that everybody thinks the same as them. Smith, Froch etc are hopeless EVERYBODY knows that don't they ? Well do they ? Every body agrees that having a female presenter, to comply with an equality and diversity policy is Ok because she's better than a lot of male presenters ,EVERYBODy knows that don't they ? Well do they ??
A repeat 1,700 people have looked at this and there's only 149 responses ,many of them repeats and some which are just filth.
When I first started on boxrec there were quite a few members who were actively involved in the professional game and we occasionally got 'breaking news' and interesting insights - they've all gone. Thanks to the the usual brigade ( and we know who they are ), who are continually back slapping each other because of another useless, bad -mouthed tirade.
Well I've better things to do with time. You can write whatever crap you want in response, I won't see it.
I'm finished with this forum I'll use boxrec in future only for results and fighters records.
I think you've got this one wrong.
People have pointed out to you that a presenters job is different to that of a pundit so she should be judged as such.
Also, sky presenters, male or female, tend to present on a number of different programmes prior to being allocated an anchor role in a particular sport. Again, this happens both for male and female presenters. Dave Clarke and Anna Woolhouse have consistent development paths here as well as others e.g Kelly Cates, Dave Jones etc.

I don't understand more than half of you blokes on BoxRec loving these women with bodies like men.... No tits, no ass, arms and stomachs more chiseled than a marble statue.... Anna Woolhouse probably is a decent presenter on boxing but holy smokes.
Re: Anna Woolhouse - Sky boxing presenter
Let's get it right, you wanted everyone to agree with you, and because they don't you are flouncing off. Poor delicate flower.dalcumly wrote: ↑11 Jun 2019, 17:43 There's probably around 1,700 people who've looked at this thread without placing a comment. Sill waiting for this equality and diversity policy to be shown too, any sign of it yet? Or is it just in your mind?
Re: Anna Woolhouse - Sky boxing presenter
It's only boxing and football fans who make a big thing about this sort of thing though, women have presented things like Speedway and MotoGP for over 20 years without receiving the vitriol a woman who presents football or boxing receives.dalcumly wrote: ↑11 Jun 2019, 17:43 There's probably around 1,700 people who've looked at this thread without placing a comment. Richard Keys, now there's a man with no morals at all, while his wife was battling cancer he was shagging his daughters best friend and then ol' pube paws had the audacity to blame the breakup of his marriage on his daughters alcohol issues, the man's a sociopath.forcefraser wrote: ↑07 Jun 2019, 10:24 There's no place for a split Harris in boxing. Sling em back to the kitchen.
Ever heard a female football commentator? Utter gash. Just sounds forced and wrong.
I'm not for positive discrimination at all. I want Ricky Keys talking about smashing IT. Not some tarted up bird posing and pouting on a sport she Ken's nowt about.
If I want eye candy or material for the bishop bashing bank I'll go on porn hub.
I want regression to the 70's. This snowflake PC nonsense does my kipper in.
Give em a few quid and tell em to get lost cos the boxing's on.
Re: Anna Woolhouse - Sky boxing presenter
I think she’s a good presenter who does a very good job. There are many presenters on sky’s various sports who have worked their way from sky sports news to presenting. There is absolutely no need for her to have had any specific knowledge of boxing before taking up her role. Since she’s been in her role, for me she researchers well enough and comes across as more than knowledgeable, hence why I feel she’s doing a good job.
One thing I will say about the article is it seemed to make out she was the 1st female presenter of boxing and that she was breaking boundaries. She wasn’t even sky’s 1st female boxing presenter. That was Kate Abdo who I believe Anna replaced. Kate didn’t last long as she fell for 1 of the pundits in Macklin. Kate has found success in America tho on fox sports and fronts the inside pbc boxing show.

I love it when she gave Whyte shit.
I think it's when Whyte wore that 'security' coat and AJ beat Povetkin. He called Whyte out.
Whyte started having a hissy, saying he never turns down a challenge and wanted to go to the ring. The never let him.
Anne said, he's working for Sky as a pundit and not a boxer tonight and shut him up.

Re: Anna Woolhouse - Sky boxing presenter
Is the lady on BT Sports Boxing grizzled enough to pass muster? Thought she was very good.
Re: Anna Woolhouse - Sky boxing presenter
She is Jo Ankier and she was a really good runner as a kid and went on to set British records in the steeplechase, I think it was 1,500 and 3,000 metres and was a Team GB member. Has done lots of ESPN work over the years, some good stuff with Oscar Pistorius online. I remember she was always in the Jewish Chronicle as a bit of a running prodigy in the 90s

She's fine! At least she is qualified to do her job with a masters degree in broadcast journalism. How many actual journalists have qualifications - it seems to get on The Guardian - you have needed to have gone to Oxford or Cambridge in any subject, and that's meant to be a 'left wing' paper.
She is that Sky Sports prototype of being skinny, fit, blonde and middle class - like young Charlie Webster - can ride a horse, nearly played netball for England, spent her childhood skiing on The Alps but she is more than competent which is all you ask for in an employee and I would have her in her role than Adam Smith's in his, any day.
I would love to see a big fat Geordie lass in the role - one with four wobbling chins and too much make up going 'aye, he gave him a reet good hiding'

Sky can employ who they want. She does a good job.overhand_right wrote: ↑16 Jun 2019, 15:50 There are equality and diversity policies in TV, on screen and off screen.
Where are these policies that say they have to do what you suggest?
Re: Anna Woolhouse - Sky boxing presenter
And that is the truth right there!
Mad world that people are trying to make this into some sort of abuse based on equality distortion. Very bizarre. She only got the job because Johnny Nelson was so shit and couldn’t read the autocue.

She’s looking fine tonight
Re: Anna Woolhouse - Sky boxing presenter
Sky’s policy of putting a women on every shoe is getting embarrassing - Sunday footy/cricket/golf etc...just to avoid questions.
Fair enough if your there on merit but a lot are just on the show so Sky can tick a box.
Re: Anna Woolhouse - Sky boxing presenter
The equal opportunity box and we give women loads of chances and put them on all our major shows box.
Regardless if they are any use - the one on Soccer Sunday is like a spare prick sitting in the middle of Souness/Redknapp/Neville - you can see them looking like what are you doing here.
Re: Anna Woolhouse - Sky boxing presenter
No one makes Sky employ or not employ anyone, they can do what they like. There is no quota or policy they have to follow.3132DW wrote: ↑22 Jun 2019, 02:30 The equal opportunity box and we give women loads of chances and put them on all our major shows box.

its political correctness gone mad
Re: Anna Woolhouse - Sky boxing presenter
Yeah but you have Hand-Wringers and do gooders who p*ss and moan about everything if it’s not Politcally correct.
They are ticking the box to say look we have a women in everything and give them chance in every sport - equal opportunities and that.

Re: Anna Woolhouse - Sky boxing presenter
do you think a sizeable number of the boxing fans who watch Sky's boxing coverage complained to Sky so often about the lack of a female presenter, that Sky appointed one just to keep them from complaining?
