It's a company wide brand image obviously.

Mad world that people are trying to make this into some sort of abuse based on equality distortion. Very bizarre. She only got the job because Johnny Nelson was so poo and couldn’t read the autocue.

This constant attacking of Woolhouse by the usual suspects is getting a bit embarrassing for them.

Or at least they should be embarrassed

She looked good last night, shame she was stood next to a weirdo and a troll.

My missus hates her, claims she has terrible dress sense, but I reckon that is just a bitchy woman thing.

She is a TV presenter who presents programmes on TV. Not sure why everyone feels so strongly about her.

They are ticking the box to say look we have a women in everything and give them chance in every sport - equal opportunities and that.
Anything in particular you find offensive about equal opportunities?

Yes if they are putting the people there to tick a box rather than there actual abilities - which Sky quite clearly are in nearly every major sport.

You should get the job on merit not because we better put a women in here to keep the hand wringers happy.

This is getting ridiculous. Anna Woolhouse is decent at her job, and still there's people continually whining that there's one one woman present on Sky's coverage.

I'd understand it if she was useless, but she's not. I'd understand if the male pundits were all better at their jobs or were subjected to higher recruitment criteria, but they're not

It's just people butthurt that one job in a male dominated industry went to a female. It's always the same people who complain that other people are snowflakes that get this easily upset.

Equal opportunities? - have you ever watched Sky sports?

It’s usually a middle aged bloke supported by a much younger dolly bird.

I think somebody said earlier, they don’t take on dogs or fatties.

what is so bad about her?

i mean, i dont doubt for a second there putting her on as dolled up eye candy, but she seems to be competent enough. as someone who watches many boxing broadcasts from around the world, shes no worse then the average presenter man or woman

Women have been presenting sports for years, Sue Barker, Suzi Perry, Sophie Blake, Gabby Logan and Kirsty Gallagher just to name a few.

dalcumly wrote: 05 Jun 2019, 14:06 I've just read an article in last weeks edition of Boxing News in which Miss Woolhouse describes how challenging her job has been since joining the Sky Sports Boxing Team.
She's not bad at what she does and I wish her good luck, and I'll be supportive of her position if all of the following steps have been taken.
Did she see an advert for a vacancy with Sky, apply with CV, interviewed with others and then perform well in her role.
Did a vacancy then arise within the Sky boxing team and was the post advertised. Did Miss Woolhouse apply, again submit her CV, was she interviewed with others and was she then offered the post after a successful performance.
If the answer to this is yes, great, well done, and all the best.
But what annoys me is this pressure to appoint females into posts on the grounds of equality, when in fact it's not equality , it's discrimination against equally competent men.
If she didn't go through this process then why was she chosen. I certainly would support female commentators/ presenters for female boxing, but why this need to appoint female presenters with no previous involvement in boxing.
Gender and racial equality quota's are real and present across most employment sectors these days. The trend is very notable in the Police, for example, where more competant and deserving people (white/UK native) are consistently and blatantly overlooked in favour of employing people from different ethnic backgrounds, just to balance out the books, so to speak. Its not fair, but its the Britain we live in, and its not changing, no way no how.

Some people would go as far as to call me a racist for writing that. Britain has gone mad.

As to Anna Woolhouse, no comment, i get all my boxing online now, i have not watched Sky for years. If it was not for Tyan Booth comenting on her in his video's, i would not have known who she was.

Well i like her , i paticuly like her wearing the glasses , dunno something about big bklack secretary glasses . So for me she gets a yes ,,
Now is she good at her job , well she's no better no worse than the others , who do you have , Smith , say no more , Nelson , good yes man , Froch , i sold 80,000 at Wembley , who does'nt even know what he's there for half the time , Bellow , i teel it straight Koogs , listen to me i know everything koogs ,

Really do any of them stand out above her , , was she put there to please the minoroties , who gives a hoot , she looks good and wears black secretary glasses ,

All in all she's not bad , but if they want to give the job to someone really good , go get SUE BARKER , the best question of sport host ever , and nearer to my age group so i have absolutly no qualms about getting the horn for her , And lets have it right forget the PC brigade , the women are put there for a bit of titlation , you would'nt get my missis tuning in to watch a bit of commentary just beacause a woman was doing it ,

To flip this around, I never liked how Jane Couch was screwed over when Kugan was parachuted into iFL, after she'd travelled around building it up for YouTube. Jane's not exactly my favourite person, but she put the work in and knows a lot more about non-PPV fighters than Kugan.

I think they should've kept her on for coverage of lower-level stuff, because I used to see her attending some of those nights anyway.
