Best road warrior resume of all time?

You are very EO'esque.Susej_SOG wrote: ↑22 Jun 2019, 23:02 But that was your own logic, genius... I used your own logic.
Man, you are saying that Pacquiao (40 years old version) fighting in 147 hits harder than a guy that weights 163 pounds in the ring, 10 or more pounds heavier than PAC
Jajajajaja
You are funny ...
Oh, Gil, my boy, Gil, Gil...
He quoted me first... I'm giving him a lesson
Re: Best road warrior resume of all time?
And that lesson is. When you roll with the pigs you both come out smelling like sh*t. Except in this case I don't care, and am just having a good laugh so there is no lesson other than the yucks I'm getting out of all this at this point.Susej_SOG wrote: ↑22 Jun 2019, 23:02 But that was your own logic, genius... The fact that you think you're "teaching me" something about Boxing is kinda cute though.

So, nothing more about Pacquiao punching harder than Thurman?
Lol
You don't know about boxing.
Huck the legend from Germany hahaha
Glowackiskwirki the killer.from Poland
Lol
Bye man, you are boring me.
Re: Best road warrior resume of all time?
Someone is fast tracked to the ban list.
Re: Best road warrior resume of all time?
Taught me pretty well is what you were looking for.
Nope nothing more about Pacquiao who is gonna lose to Thurman in July.
I get it that you don't wanna talk about Huck from Germany or Glowacki from Poland, but can I interest you in a bridge? A low low rate! Today only. Come on! When are you gonna get a chance like this again?

Re: Best road warrior resume of all time?
Don’t wanna get done in here and pains me to say.. but Nelson record against fringe contenders and challengers is superb
also although neither consistent nor prolific at a lower level loved the manner (not the fact) of how buster Drayton did cable n kaylor in space of a few weeks in uk.. also upset Duane Thomas and won title in France v a Frenchman, although I’m not sure wether he had a promotional deal over there?
Re: Best road warrior resume of all time?
Salido fought two times vs Juan Manuel López in Puerto Rico, one time vs Rocky Martínez (referee was too biased), always was the B side.
Fought against Lomachenko, Juan Manuel Márquez, Yuriorkis Gamboa, Mikey García, Francisco Vargas, Robert Guerrero, Mikey Román, all in prime.
That was a sick career.

Re: Best road warrior resume of all time?
While there are others who fought away from home more, based on his effect on boxing by fighting globally, Muhammad Ali is the greatest road warrior in boxing history, imo.
Re: Best road warrior resume of all time?
Usyk has continued his streak with wins over Bellew in the U.K, Whitherspoon in the U.S, Chisora in the U.K, and taking all the titles from Joshua in the U.K.
Re: Best road warrior resume of all time?
Usyk is the greatest road warrior now for 100%. Prove me wrong.

Imagine Usyk vs Joshua rematch on Kiev stadium. I'm almost 100% sure Usyk would stop him there.gregregegg wrote: ↑25 Sep 2021, 19:05Yep. he did defeat joshua and he is a great road warrior mateLackeos wrote: ↑26 Jul 2018, 02:27Not really. There are a lot of threads this week that are exasperatingly hyperbolic. There's the claims that Usyk is #1 p4p and will defeat Anthony Joshua. Then there's this thread -- "Usyk has 6 title wins on the road. Is that the most of all-time?!?!?!" Manny Pacquiao has like 16 world title wins outside of his home country, 6 isn't even close.squiggy wrote: ↑26 Jul 2018, 00:33Seems like a total retard's take on the situation.RandomUsername wrote: ↑25 Jul 2018, 14:52
Kinda tired of all the hype around this Usyk guy, feels just like that, hype or nationalistic or ethnic cocksucking. But yes beating all those guys in their home countries is a great accomplishment. Really good.
How naive does a person have to be to think Usyk anywhere in the conversation of greatest road warriors? That'd be like if someone went on the NBA forums and asked "Kevin Love has won 1 championship. Is that the most of all-time?!?!?!"
won first title in poland vs polish glowacki
defended in usa vs american hunter
defended in germany vs german based huck
won unified title in latvia vs latvian briedis
became undisputed cruiser champ in russia vs russian gassiev
defended undisputed cruiser title in uk vs british bellew
then beat american witherspoon in usa and brit chisota in uk at hw
won unified hw title in britain vs brit aj
dont hate bruh

Think AJ would throwup on himself during his walk out and run away befor stepping through the ropes.aicheligad wrote: ↑25 Sep 2021, 19:06Imagine Usyk vs Joshua rematch on Kiev stadium. Sad that such a fighter has to fight always in abroad as a B side. On the other hand, it makes his story even more special, unique. I am so happy that I could witness such a fighter in my lifetime, he's already one of the best in the history of boxing. It's sounds crazy now for some, but if he ever fights Fury and wins, I guess nobody will have doubts.

Technically away from home, but PAC was the draw. Usyk has never been the draw. He’s always gone into the lions den.

ya , pac just doesnt fit in this discussion, at least in terms of his career once a star fighterSAPFO wrote: ↑26 Sep 2021, 05:00Best Coast wrote: ↑25 Jul 2018, 19:54Pac would have to be considered the KING of road warriors because most of his world title fights were outside of Philippines and involved rivals in EIGHT different weight classes!!![]()

he's been professionally based in the usa for years and has pretty much always been the draw. people give extra value to road wins because the guy has to travel to a new environment where things are against them, pac's situation isnt like that at all for most of his usa fights.
now, pac travelling to australia to fight horn does qualify, but he lost that. see how it's different? he also got ko'd in thailand travelling to defend his title.

Going by this logic, he could say that Canelo is a great road warrior as well.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑26 Sep 2021, 05:08ya , pac just doesnt fit in this discussion, at least in terms of his career once a star fighterSAPFO wrote: ↑26 Sep 2021, 05:00Best Coast wrote: ↑25 Jul 2018, 19:54

Texas/Vegas, the whole US is technically his home.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑26 Sep 2021, 08:49 ya exactly, canelo in texas, 50,000 fans cheering for him, everything in his favour, but hey , what a road warrior, doing it the hard way![]()
The unique thing about Usyk, is that he fought in so many different countries against home fighters.
Road warrior should be defined as going into your opponents backyard right?
Muhammad Ali
Trevor Berbick (Jamaica) in Bahama
Richard Dunn (UK) in Germany
Jean-Pierre Coopman (Belgium) in Puerto Rico
Joe Bugner (UK) in Malaysia
Rudie Lubbers (Holland) in Indonesia
Alvin Lewis (USA) in Ireland
George Chuvalo (Canada) in Canada TWICE
Mac Foster (USA) in Japan
Jürgen Blin (Germany) in Switzerland
Karl Mildenberger (German) in Germany
Brian London (UK) In England
Henry Cooper (UK) in England (TWICE)
Then he had the other two fights as well
George Foreman (USA) in Zaire
Joe Frazier (USA) in Philippines
The one's in BOLD is where he fought in the opponents back yard - 6 times, 4 opponents
The rest, he just fought in random countries.
13 Countries he fought in including the US.
