That's a shame, but he'll be back sometime down the line. That's pretty exciting. Passed his prime is pretty immaterial considering power is the last thing to go and the BKF is wide open because it's mostly journeymen and MMA guys.

I appreciate it Henry. Trying to watch this Live, but can't get anything to come in worth a damn. I'll at least watch these Prelim bouts. Chances are I'll be able to find it somewhere tomorrow.

I'm sure, like last time, someone will upload the main event to YouTube almost immediately. I hear there's a livestream on Reddit.

Re: Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship
is it just my eyes or is the ring massive
i guess it could be more of an illusion with it being circular

Apparently Malignaggi has been bitching about the amount of gauze and tape on Artem's hands, but the Florida commission overruled Paulie's incessant whining. That's what I read not long ago.

Re: Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship
The fights will take place in a 22-foot diameter circle ring, with three ropes. In the center of the ring is an 8-foot circle where the fighters will begin the fight and start every additional round.
That's part of the reason why I love this because it's the old time rule of "toe the line", stepping to the scratch and squaring off. So off the bat, it doesn't quite benefit a stylist or mover unless they get on their bicycle like crazy.
Re: Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship
Paulie better be thinking about the gauze and tape on his own fragile ass hands.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑22 Jun 2019, 22:10 Apparently Malignaggi has been bitching about the amount of gauze and tape on Artem's hands, but the Florida commission overruled Paulie's incessant whining. I'm loving how fast these matches are ending. With no gloves that kinetic power is more apparent. Really speeding things along. We may just see the main event within the next hour at this pace.

Re: Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship
None of the guys on this card are exactly masters of their craft in either Boxing or MMA, and even if they were this Bareknuckle thing is really a whole different kettle of fish altogether. The rules aren't exactly like Boxing or MMA. I'd say it's a good meeting ground for Crossover bouts between the 2 sports for this reason.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑22 Jun 2019, 23:00 You're welcome.
Bedford apparently is holding his own and kicking Barnett's ass from time to time, which is surprising, because Barnett's the boxer and Bedford's the MMA guy. Into the fourth round now.
Kickboxing would be too.

Re: Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship
Bedford won the unanimous decision and the BKFC belt in his division. So that's interesting.... And holy crap....
Paulie Malignaggi got busted by the commission.... Anthony Rumble Johnson who works for BKFC just tweeted it out.... Malignaggi had an illegal substance on his hands
I don't know if it was his wraps or something chemical but they're pissed.

Let us know what said substance is. Though it likely won't come out until later. I doubt they'll mention it on air.

This MMA channels covering it....
Idk if it was extra wraps, plaster, etc.
The fight MAY be in jeopardy
Re: Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship
If they cancel the Main Event DURING the show, they might as well kiss their promotion goodbye.

I think it'll go through but... I don't think he may ever fight for BKFC ever again after tonight for trying to cheat, or at least penalize him by giving part of his purse to Artem.

Re: Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship
Cochrane cut horribly. We're into the third round. Leben smells blood. Cochrane's still fighting back hard though. We're going into the fourth now.
Re: Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship
It's the former. He probably wouldn't have for them again anyway, but he definitely won't now. Either way though they gotta go through with it at this point. The people are in the building and have paid their money. If you back out on 'em now you're gonna have trouble, and considering the limited fan base this has already you can't risk pissing off at least 80% of your fan base irreparably in one swoop like that.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑22 Jun 2019, 23:20 I think it'll go through but...
