Tough one. My mind says McCallum but my heart Tommy. Mike was underrated as so good at 154. I thin Tommy’s height gives him problems. Once he lands the cross McCallum’s game plan changes. Jackson and Curry hurt him badly. I think Tommy stops him with one right hand

Mike McCallum wins this one for me. This is the ONLY FIGHTER that I think that beats the great Thomas Hearns at 154lbs.

While MM underrated at the very highest level so was Tommy’s boxing ability, not that I could see him schooling MM but coupled with his power it would be a hard puzzle for mike to solve.. rock and a hard place.. stay mid to long and get outworked maybe 2-1 or try setting a more forceful pace and risk getting bushwhacked.. more of a competive but clear pts win for Hearns over 12.. now over 15????

McCallum is underrated? Well it is now official. After being called underrated for the one zillionth time, McCallum is now no longer underrated.

He's pretty close to overrated now. He's been a go to underrated for decades now. Cooney too

I don't think Cooney ever beat a single ranked contender in his entire career which obviously makes ranking him difficult. McCallum on the other hand has numerous wins over quality opponents so assessing him should be a lot easier.

He beat Julian Jackson, Herol Graham, Sumbu Kalambay, Donald Curry, Steve Collins, etc. Thats a pretty respectable resume.

Sorry for stating the obvious alp, I was only passing comment. I didn’t realise that every person on the forum is well versed in mccallums career as I’m only a newbie as you can probably see. Some young Kids I coach haven’t even heard of herol Graham and their from Sheffield! However thank you for enlightening me alp on the
Protocol required to post on here.. thank you again and as I’m not the most eloquent of youths I do apologise in advance if my grammar has offended you also
