Scott Alexander, 30, who resides and practices in Los Angeles, has a record of 14 wins (8 by KOs), three defeats and two draws.
That is a shocking opponent for Pov.

Two-Time World Champion and boxing star Amir Khan’s history making fight against Neeraj Goyat at the King Abdullah Sports Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Friday 12th July will be broadcast exclusively live in the UK on free-to-air Channel 5.

Khan versus Goyat headlines a fantastic all-action championship fight card that includes heavyweight star Hughie Fury in a sensational showdown with Former World Champion Samuel Peter plus Prince Patel and Dave Penasola both in title fights.

This will also be Khan’s first terrestrial TV appearance since 2010, as Channel 5 televise his ground-breaking fight to millions with the undercard also featuring on free-to-air 5 Spike in nearly 5 hours of live boxing action.

Chief support pitches world grade heavyweights from past and present when undefeated former British champion Hughie Fury, 24, who features courtesy of Hennessy Sports and Channel 5, steps up against one-time WBC World Champion Samuel Peter in a mouthwatering championship title contest to be announced.

England’s first ever World Youth super-heavyweight champion, the 6ft 6in ‘Fists of Fury’ has already showcased his considerable skills in eight countries since debuting as a pro, aged 18, in March 2013. However, this will be his first exposure in the MENA region and he is promising to expand his fan base by delivering a sparkling performance.

‘I’ve a job to do and it’ll get done. Samuel Peter is a seriously solid, dangerous veteran who can clearly punch but I relish the challenge,’ said Fury who is trained by his father Peter.

He added, ’It’s always great to visit different places and get my name around the World. I’m expecting a great atmosphere. There’s only one thing on my mind, getting to the very top, winning the world title.

Peter, the ‘Nigerian Nightmare’, is a 2000 Sydney Olympian, now in his 19thyear as a pro. The powerhouse has clattered 31 victims inside schedule whilst compiling a stellar 38-7 CV. The solid 6ft 2in, 19stone plus African reigned on the WBC throne for seven months in 2008 and has swapped leather with four fellow world champions, including both Klitschko brothers. He famously flattened Wladimir three times before dropping a close, contentious 12 round decision in 2005.

Following a break, Samuel returned in Mexico in February and has already bombed out two foes inside the opening frame. Fury will need to bring his A-game if he hopes to advance above his ranking of 14 with the IBF.

Sorry, didn't realise this was here. Just made a thread about it.

Seems a big coup for Channel 5, even if it is a Noddy fight.

I was wondering that time they show it?

Are they gonna cater for UK fans have the fight around 10pm for us? or are they catering for Middle East, which means UK get the fight earlier, say 6pm?

I would assume it is shown live, but that's just a total guess.

I wouldn't mind it being on at 6pm. I'd just be getting in from work. So I could kick my shoes off, crack a beer open and order something.

He said on IFL today they pulled out as it wasn’t right deal.

Povetkin moves to Hooker card.

So Povetkin isn’t fighting in Jeddah?

Hearn is dumb. Khan was doing him a favour getting involved in the Arab money. Thought Hearn would jump at it.

No I’d imagine that’s why Fury/Peter has appeared as they must have wanted Heavyweights on the card.

Hearn was planning 2 - Povetkin and 1 other but he didn’t go into details just it didn’t come together and good luck to them.

Amir Khan’s July 12th fight against India’s Neeraj Goyat is not going to go ahead as planned. ESPN reports that Goyat, 27, was just recently hospitalized after sustaining “severe injuries” following a car accident on his way home from training.

“We are very sad to inform that Neeraj Goyat, who was preparing for his mega fight against Amir Khan, met with a car accident last night that has caused him severe injuries on his head, face and left arm. He is currently in hospital and we wish him a speedy recovery,” Bill Dosanjh, Promoter of the Super Boxing League, said in a statement.

Instead of canceling the entire card, set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, organizers will now be trying to find Khan a replacement opponent, with an announcement expected to come soon.

Goyat (11-3-2, 2 KOs) was a very popular amateur boxer in India, and even though he hasn’t really done anything as a professional, Khan (33-5, 20 KOs) was still hoping to leverage that popularity into a bounce back win coming off the Terence Crawford debacle. Really, though, Goyat was overmatched from the conception of this fight, so I doubt many fans will be broken up over it falling apart.

Still, though, we certainly wish no harm on Goyat. BLH wishes him a full and speedy recovery.

Good thing for Khan, he probably still gets £7m and will just fight someone else. The fight will still sell in Jeddah, as long as Khan is on the card.

He is in indeed - career highhest weight of 135lbs.

Could have least picked a career lightweight!
