We'll see, I expect a one sided stinker.

btw, i mean favourite in the ring, on the cards he would get a draw for winning 8 rounds. so it's not surprising that betting sites would clearly favour Charlo (just like they favour Andrade over Sulęcki that much for this reason)

I want to see Charlo fighting good opposition like a true champion and Derev. is a good start. The truth is Charlo only fought a decent opponent in Korobov@160lbs and that fight was nothing to brag about for Charlo.

They're favored because they're better fighters.

Andrade vs Sulęcki - we will know tonight.

Charlo vs Derevyanchenko - Jermall recently lost to Korobov, it's reasonable to favour Derevyanchenko over him.

id like this too, would at least be his best mw (for perspective, he fought hugo but hugo lost every round and ktfo by sulecki, who i dont rate either) . his options are limited atm with most the good names with dazn. though tbf they are hardly all fighting each other either since signing with dazn

kid is way too good to be left out of the mix. and the wbc just bitched out and basically removed canelos obligation to fight him. he is 29 so prob has another few years at his peak, hopefully he gets that big fight in that time

He didn't lose to korobov. An underdog did better than expected and the fans overreacted. Yes, in just a little bit sulecki will get schooled.

According to CompuBox Punch Stats, Korobov landed a total of 28% punches more than 26% of Charlo. :TU:

In what way do those close numbers tell you who deserved to win and who deserved to lose?

The number of punches landed is far more important than the percentages. And even the numbers of connects don't always tell the whole story.

Look at this story son:

True story is 36 y/o Korobov was landing his left hand on Charlo's face at will.

Okay pops. What was your score?

Compubox numbers show Korobov landing 5 more power shots than Charlo in 12 rounds.

Charlo, however, threw about 200 more shots and landed 42 more punches total, built up by his steady jab.

I'd say the numbers in this case, really don't conclusively point to a winner.

But if you're trying to argue that Korobov was robbed based on these figures or the scant 2 point percentage edge, you're way off base.

My view was that he probably had the edge through 8 but then slowed down noticeably. And was fortunate to survive the 12th.

Pipina, bottom line is Charlo was eating Korobov's left hands with ease. Charlo was supposed to stop 36 y/o Korobov. :TU:

All I know is that Charlo won the fight and probably deserved it based on Korobov's fade in the championship rounds.

It was another case of a replacement fighter who wasn't expected to be competitive, but exceeded expectations.

So Charlo fought from a handicap of being expected to win handily, but was lambasted when the bout instead was close.

Korobov had a great amateur pedigree and was a respected professional. He has skills. But he didn't win that fight.
