He's worth checking out. I don't know much about his opponent though.

BT sport has decided to make some of their UFC events PPV. To say it's gone down like a lead balloon is an understatement
Re: MMA
Outside of one UK ppv many moons ago (Cro Cop v Gonzaga), I've never had to pay for a UFC card. Not going to start now (God bless Amazon Fire sticks)Nondescript wrote: ↑17 Jun 2019, 12:09 BT sport has decided to make some of their UFC events PPV. Re: MMA
It's a piss take. You can't expect people watching fight cards at 3/4 in the morning to pay extra to watch it, and in this particular case without a British figher even in the main event! Lol
Re: MMA
That, plus the fact we have a boxing ppv every other fornicating monthNondescript wrote: ↑17 Jun 2019, 14:27 It's a piss take. I'll buy the odd one, but they're starting to take the piss now
Edit: I realise our American cousins have it much worse than us re ppv, I guess I'm just spoiled

Re: MMA
Yea I'm a little confused about the Bellator card tonight. Mousasi/Lovato is the main event, but on the DAZN website they're not advertising that fight at all, the card is called "Bellator London: Daley vs. Silva".
Is DAZN not going to show the Mousasi fight for some reason? It's the only fight I actually care about on the card.

Re: MMA
My TV listing mentions Mousasi vs. Lovato so I guess I'll record that broadcast instead of watching on DAZN. Really strange situation, I don't understand it at all.

I didn't realise just how high level Lovato is on the ground, well I knew he was high level but I didn't think he could get Moose down with such ease or be quite so dominant once he was down there

Ngannou has sick power, but DC would ground n pound him out.

I tend to agree although Ngannou's huge size advantage makes it interesting for me.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑30 Jun 2019, 19:19 Ngannou has sick power, but DC would ground n pound him out.
Either Cormier wrestle fucks him or Ngannou takes his head off.

Regarding Ngannou's power though, I've seen a lot of MMA fans (who I don't even think watch boxing) claim that Francis is a bigger puncher than Wilder. Despite being significantly heavier, I don't buy that.

Re: MMA
I'm fairly comfortable with your first scenario. Ngannou is powerful, but so was Rumble. Rumble knocked DC pretty good in their first meeting. And DC was able to take it, get him down and finish him. And Rumble has better wrestling than Francis. As long as DC doesn't get careless, he takes this easily.Nondescript wrote: ↑01 Jul 2019, 07:39 I tend to agree although Ngannou's huge size advantage makes it interesting for me.
