True..

This guy: Eric Bottjer appears to be Matchroom Boxing USA's official matchmaker.

Hearn just promotes fights/events. He doesn't always pick opponents, especially for undercard fights.

A media report mentions that the Dibster recognises the risk of climbing two divisions to fight former welterweight champion Amir Khan next month, but is adamant he can be competitive. Kahn was stopped in his last fight by American superstar Terence Crawford, who was defending the WBO welterweight title he claimed from Jeff Horn last year.

Dib's last bout back in April was at lightweight against a fighter ranked 1,498th in the world. Most of his professional fights have been at featherweight, including two unsuccessful cracks at super featherweight world title.

As they say in the classics, “a good big man will always beat a good little man”, so let's hope that Dib doesn’t receive too much damage in what looks like a miss-match.
Khan way too big as expected. Full marks for Billy having a crack and hope he got paid well. Wasn’t really hurt but never in it.

This is how the fight was reported in the Telegraph:

Billy Dib’s brave attempt to upset Amir Khan has failed in devastating fashion after he was stopped in the fourth round of their welterweight bout.

Entering the fight as a 50-1 betting underdog, Dib was overwhelmed by his bigger, stronger rival.

Dib’s corner threw in the towel after the Sydney fighter was dropped for the second time in the contest, saving him from serious harm in the coastal Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah, near Mecca.

British superstar Khan had a huge size advantage over Dib, who has previously campaigned three weight classes below as a super-featherweight, and used his obvious power to reestablish himself as a welterweight force after losing to Terence Crawford in April.

Dib, 33, was knocked down in the second round with a left hook but managed to rise quickly and fight on.

However, it seemed only a matter of time before Khan landed the killer blow, and in the fourth he staggered Dib with a right hook. With Dib’s back on the ropes, Khan unleashed heavy body shots and a left uppercut to drop Dib again, leading trainer Billy Hussein to throw in the towel and halt the contest.

Dib (45-6, 26KO) had originally been slated to fight on the undercard, but Khan’s original opponent had a car accident and Dib stepped in as a late replacement....
