SRL.... What If?

Post by keithmoonhangover »

After the Lalonde fight, there was interesting article in Ring magazine. History beckoned for Ray if he beat Virgil Hill and Charles Williams, he would have become one of the few boxers to be an undisputed champion at three of the original weight classes.

How do you think he would have fared if he had fought Williams, then Hill?

Non guaranteed wins weren't in the cards for SRL at that time.

Virgil hill would of beat Leonard he was much better than Donny lalonde and a classic boxer which would of been harder than a come forward fighter for Ray....just to big.

Williams was the perennial underrated guy for a minute. He went to 68 for toney, ray could get him down to unify at 68-75.

ray fought great v lalonde. but that was at 168 i think! even though for the 168 & 175 wbc titles. so he was never going to do anything at light heavy.
