An interesting take on what if debates that I don't think we've ever done before, and it could be done for SO many cases because this has become the commonplace in Boxing to such an extent. This wasn't even the first such example that came to my mind when I thought of this, but I think you'll all like this idea. Which could lead to several such threads, and discussions.

What if...

Instead of Bernard Hopkins vs Robert Allen 3, and De La Hoya vs Sturm. We had Hopkins vs Sturm and De La Hoya vs Robert Allen?

Didn't take off huh? Maybe I should've started with the more interesting type idea.

Like what would've happened if Erik Morales fought Hector Velazquez and Manny Pacquiao fought Zahir Raheem.

I don't know. I just think there's some interesting potential shakeups in Boxing history that could've happened in some of these cases.

ppl dont really care about tune up guys, who are usually mismatched, so really youd just be discussing more mismatches vs not very big name fighters

George Foreman was supposed to be the tuneup for Frazier's rematch with Ali, even though he was ranked #1. When asked his biggest mistake in fighting Foreman, Frazier said, "Signing the contract."
