really looking forward to this fight. Boxing can be so frustrating at times with fights not being made so its great when 2 young prospects fight. im gonna go with dubois by ko in the second half of the fight but it would not be a shock if Gorman won. Could even be a draw where Gorman wins more of the rounds but gets knocked down similar to the fury wilder fight. Whatever happens on the night though im sure they will fight a few more times in the next 10 years probably for a world title as well.

That’s interesting but DD must have been a kid then, I think he turned over at 18, looking forward to this one.

that was said by some member of British boxing team, he said that Gorman was always much better, they both weren't the top tier of the UK team obviously but out of those 2 Gorman was obviously better. Yeah Dubois was young but Gorman is only 2 years older, Dubois doesn't throw too much combinations, Gorman has a superior footwork, Gorman is my pick in that one, i think he wins on points, if Dubois wins, he wins by KO i think.

Love this fight could be a cracker, a bit of a Fury/Joshua light fee to it, Dubois the big stiff puncher and Gorman the more fluid boxer and mover, fair play for making the fight already, they've both got decent names on their records already, no prime fighters but Johnson, Cojanu, Turner and Sokolowski are great learning fights for Heavyweights so young, apart from the fight with Safety Pin Johnson, Dubois is always great value, goes in the seek and destroy mentality, his last fight with Lartey was an entertaining scrap, he showed he doesn't mind a shoot out, Gorman's last few fights have been controlled performances where he's dominated Johnson and Cojanu

I like Gorman and I'm sure he could be tricky and frustrate Dubois with his movement and skills, I just feel at some point over 12 rounds Dubois will land and he has the power to hurt guys with single shots or combinations, both men dig well to the body and have shown maturity for boxers so young, think this could play out to be an entertaining fight but I'll say Dubois late on

I must be missing something with Gorman. How is he a fluid boxer ?

If Gorman had a bit more power I'd pick him, but despite feeling he outboxes Dubois 9 rounds in 10, I think the Lartey fight's an indication that Dubois' likely to throw caution to the wind and catch Gorman with heavy shots at some point.

Gorman can definitely win this, but I don't think he'll change his approach enough and he's too positive against the stronger, harder-punching man. He needs to use Dubois' lack of ideas against him, not give him too many opportunities by trying to work him over.

Both have a long way to go in the sport but pre-fight I backed Nathan Gorman and that hasn’t and won’t change :TU:

For me though, fair play for not p**sy footing around and getting a fight on at a tender stage of their careers, goes against the current ‘play it safe til you make it’ style of boxing

If there were, I would have ignored them. He's been hit but I don't ever remember him getting stunned so to speak. I don't think he minds trading.

Yeah but just the same, there's nothing to show his chin is weak.

I was saying I though DD might have a fragile chin early on, just a feeling, but to be fair no sign of that - though his opponents haven’t had much about them so far...

Think he might take this on points ..but not seen a lot of Gorman, other than he’s apparently quite durable

Isn't this the tyoe of fight we boxing fans look forward to?

1: It's at HW
2: Both unbeaten prospects.
3: One puncher Vs one boxer.
4: Both very young by HW standards
5: A true next gen crossroads for British boxing.
6: Close to a 50/50 fight as it gets.
7: Winner will step up, loser has plenty if time to rebuild.

I'm loving it. Bring it on :box:

Here are some interesting predictions courtesy of BS;

LYNDON ARTHUR: “It’s a great fight and I have been on Team GB with them both. If Gorman can avoid his punches maybe I go with him, but if he gets hit he goes to sleep. Gorman just.”
BEN DAVISON: “I think it’s a good fight between two upcoming prospects and I think who gets their game plan right and can make those adjustments through the fight will come out on top.
If Daniel gets carried away with the moment and looks for the knockout with Nathan getting under his skin he could play right into Nathan’s hands.”
SUNNY EDWARDS: “The style and skill goes with Nathan, he is a bit sharper. But the power and fitness is with Dubois. If Gorman is conditioned for 12 rounds and Daniel doesn’t get near him then there is only one winner. At heavyweight that is a hard ask so I edge towards Dubois. The winner pushes on and loser comes again.”
CARL FRAMPTON: “Credit to both boys for taking the fight so early in their careers. A loss doesn’t mean the end and I wouldn’t be surprised if they met again. Gorman is slick and a nice mover for a heavyweight, but I just fancy Dubois slightly.”
PETER FURY: “I think this is a 50-50 fight. Both are good young fighters. Gorman needs to get past the first half then the table could really turn into his favour. Dubois holds good power and is so dangerous early on. This is why it’s a 50-50 match up.”
TYSON FURY: “It reminds me of my fight against Dereck Chisora for the British title back in 2011 when we both 14-0. Chisora was higher ranked and more touted than me back then - the same as Dubois over Nathan. Even Frank (Warren) favoured Del boy to beat me and everybody else did. It’s also chubby guy v ripped guy. I fancy Nathan to beat him.”
GEORGE GROVES: “I am happy for this fight because they are both young enough for the loser to rebuild. It’s a good fight for both of them and the winner will go onto something else. They are both willing to put it on the line and it’s a real fight. It is fascinating that they know each other so well and it’s good for them to be in a real fight. Dubois has phenomenal punch power.”
DAVID HAYE: “I don’t know which way it goes, perhaps a draw. It’s a fight I want to be ringside for because both boxers are young and hungry. They have very different styles that will gel nicely. These two fighting is only going to benefit fans.”
ENZO MACCARINELLI: “It is a genuine 50-50. Dubois has the power, but Gorman has lovely skills. I’ve changed my mind so many times. I’m going to sit with Gorman. He has the better all round skills and will stay out of trouble. Saying that. speak to me tomorrow and I will have changed my mind. Great fight and a fantastic card.”
ARCHIE SHARP: “It’s going to be a cracking fight. Daniel Dubois can punch for fun, but I do believe in Nathan Gorman’s ability. For me on pure boxing skills I may have Nathan Gorman edging it on points. I’m just going with Nathan but it’s going to be great.”
JOSH WARRINGTON: “What a fight we have to look forward to - two young, unbeaten prospects, fighting for the British title. It’s going to be fantastic. There are so many different opinions and its got people talking. I am just going with Dubois. He is devastating when he hurts an opponent and I think he could win early.”
LIAM WILLIAMS: “I know in my mind who I think will win, but I like both guys and should respect them. It’s going to be good while it lasts.”
TROY WILLIAMSON: “They are both putting it all on the line and massive respect. I know them really well from Team GB. I have seen them spar many rounds and know what they’re all about. There are a lot of predictions out there and I am not sitting on the fence. I am going for Nathan points or late TKO.”
