top heavy at the moment

Post by man »

i actually think it is tyson fury, and i haven't
been a fan of his. here is my reasoning.

he looked very competitive against wilder,
the biggest puncher at the peak of his game,
with only half a tune up.

andy ruiz is in my view just a temporary
phenomenon. i wish for him it was otherwise,
but i doubt he will stay where he is now,

wilder could not beat a comeback tyson, he
will lose against the settled-in version.

AJ has a big question mark and in a sport
where confidence is crucial he is vulnerable
and would lose to tyson had they have to
fight tomorrow.

tell me why i'm wrong.

Because STONE COLD SAID SO!

Fury 1A and Wilder 1B. Ruiz is three and AJ is still four. We need the fights to decide the truth.

dont forget that Hrgović is just 27, as i said once, i think that he and Ajagba will be Joshua and Wilder of the next generation

for now though i think that Fury is the best, imo he defeated Wilder and he's all wrong for Ruiz.

At this very moment Wilder has a tenuous grasp on the top spot in my mind, but the guys at the top are all so close together that one more big win for anybody could push them ahead for the time being.

There won't be a definitive answer until they get in the ring, and fight it out amongst themselves.

I respect your opinion. Especially as he still has much to learn. His development might stagnate and at his current level, he's not winning any titles. He's a prospect and we can only go on what we THINK he'll end up being.

How many prospects actually go in to win a world title at HW? It’s always limited. You gotta fight the right opponents at the right time. It’s not like other weights where the 4 different world titles are held by 4 different boxers most times.

There might be a phase though. Who knows.

No one knows. And as you know, I'm probably the biggest Efe booster, but I think Hrgovic is the better fighter right now by far unquestionably. Filip has a chance to win a title.

Yeah Fury is the top guy, with them other 3 boys close behind him. Skillwise he would beat them all. But wouldn't count any of them out thou.
AJ is coming back, ain't counting on anything else. Also so much BS around his training camp, not buying it. Ruiz got the shot and took it. He will stick around now.
And Wilder will destroy Ortiz this time around. If not Ortiz surpises me.

Wilder seems very beatable, i can see him losing to several fighters yet i think that he has the biggest chances to defeat Fury, bigger than Joshua, much bigger than Ruiz. I think that he is the only one who can defeat Fury. But since TF won their first fight, he's the #1.

Funny really. Tyson Fury hasn't won a fight against any opponent worth a can o' beans in the last four years yet I don't necessarily disagree with the assertion that he's the top heavy.

I wasn't unhappy with the draw decision with Wilder. If Fury had walked away with the title when many referees wouldn't even have bothered to take up the count, well it just wouldn't have sat right with me. I've always said you can't sneak away with a champion's title you have to rip it away from him.

On the other hand as has been pointed out many times, fights are scored round by round, and I have to admit I was scoring almost every round to Fury where he managed to stay vertical throughout.

When you consider that before the fight, because of Fury's recent history, I thought he was a lamb going to slaughter. He sure showed me but I still think he was nowhere near his absolute peak, and you'd have to figure he'd be better in the re-match.
