BJS: “Gennadiy Golovkin, I’m calling you out in your home country [Kazakhstan].”
“I’d like to fight Golovkin here,” Saunders (28-0, 13KOs) stated during an in-ring interview in between fights on an ESPN+ show Saturday evening in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
“[Golovkin was] a great champion and is a brilliant fighter,” noted Saunders. “But I would love the opportunity to fight him here [in Kazakhstan].
“Gennadiy Golovkin, I’m calling you out in your home country.” @bs
Don't know if BJS is just bluffing to create some buzz to stay relevant but realistically how difficult would be this fight to be made and at what weight and if it would involve vada testing ?
Personally I think BJS is irrelevant atm and I'd like to see GGG fighting Andrade next.

What a sad bastard. Is the interview where he said “anyone but him”, when asked about whether he would fight GGG, still on YouTube or has it ‘disappeared’? Nobody wanted to fight Golovkin until he’d missed a step and got old and now he’s actually got a bit of money behind him out come the vultures. The funny thing is, Saunders has got a good chance against the increasingly mummified Golovkin, but I think it should be a case of anyone but Saunders right now. He hasn’t earned it, he’s repeatedly blown it.apollo creed wrote: ↑07 Jul 2019, 03:22 “I’d like to fight Golovkin here,” Saunders (28-0, 13KOs) stated during an in-ring interview in between fights on an ESPN+ show Saturday evening in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.

Spot on. Now that GGG is even older but still a valuable/good profile fighter, the younger 'lions' want to fight him. Why Saunders doesn't go after Callum, Benavidez or Eubank Jr II ?!clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑07 Jul 2019, 05:49What a sad bastard. Fight Callum Smith, Billy.
When GGG was younger and he had to fight Murray, Lemieux, Rubio, Geale and Stevens , everybody was ignoring him and acted like he wasn't a top mw fighter/a champion at that time. Now GGG looks so appealing at 37 y/o.

Nobody serious is going to do business with BJS.

Re: BJS: “Gennadiy Golovkin, I’m calling you out in your home country [Kazakhstan].”
There was once a time when GGG was an “anyone-anytime-anywhere” type of boxer, but according to his own employee, Tom Loeffler, Golovkin decided to walk away from fights against Billy Joe Saunders on two separate occasions, after the Brit had already agreed terms and signed contracts.
The reason for GGG withdrawing on both occasions, Canelo, regardless of any “official” excuses conveyed at the time. Gennadiy didn’t want to risk losing a huge payday opportunity.
If Gennadiy Golovkin doesn’t fight Canelo, then he won’t face anyone notable (as per the Vanes Martirosyan and Steve Rolls bouts), despite there being an abundance of talent competing at 160lbs.
I guarantee you that “The Businessman” GGG won’t fight a top guy if he can’t secure a bout against Canelo next.
GGG appreciates that he cannot afford to suffer a loss against the likes of Andrade, Saunders or Jacobs, because it’ll result in him missing out on the Canelo jackpot!
Please watch recent videos of GGG being asked to discuss potential bouts against the likes of Andrade, Jacobs or Saunders, as they’ll surely provide confirmation the words I’ve written in this post!
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but GGG is prioritising his commercial worth over his legacy.
At some point, his fans will start losing patience about the nature of his safety-first business decisions.

Re: BJS: “Gennadiy Golovkin, I’m calling you out in your home country [Kazakhstan].”
You have to take in consideration that GGG has a six fight deal with DAZN. Now he got left five fights. I assume that GGG has agreed with DAZN that his second contractual fight must be against Canelo to avenge his only questionable loss and probably to cash in. After that , depending on what GGG would do vs Canelo III, GGG would probably fight the other top fighters from 160-168 lbs. It's a safety measure for GGG to not ruin or alterate a possible third fight with Canelo. Personally I'd like to see GGG fighting Andrade and get that wbo belt and then unify with Canelo in a third fight BUT if GGG would struggle/look old vs Andrade(win or draw), then a possible 3rd fight with Canelo would not be so appealing. Atm GGG comes from a competitive second fight with Canelo and KO win over a stiff. He is still in a good spotlight.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑07 Jul 2019, 08:04 There was once a time when GGG was an “anyone-anytime-anywhere” type of boxer, but according to his own employee, Tom Loeffler, Golovkin decided to walk away from fights against Billy Joe Saunders on two separate occasions, after the Brit had already agreed terms and signed contracts.

Also I assume that dazn were not that foolish to accept GGG to fight 5 times vs some 'Steve Rolls' and then cash out vs Canelo. Besides Canelo it has to be other good matches for GGG to generate big interest.
Re: BJS: “Gennadiy Golovkin, I’m calling you out in your home country [Kazakhstan].”
It isn't news at all. When he was in his prime, nobody wanted to fight him. Now he's old and ready to be picked off, he's got a queue. His legacy of being an ATG disappeared with the two Canelo fights. I'm sure he'll look to KO bums, take the least amount of wear and tear while filling his bank account and wait out Canelo 3 or something else equally lucrative. This is his retirement tour. fornicate me the guy has earned it. I couldn't care less. How old is he? 38? He should be retiring. If some company wants to throw him a ton of cash to keep fighting knock overs then I wish him well and will watch the highlights in the morning.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑07 Jul 2019, 08:04 I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but GGG is prioritising his commercial worth over his legacy.

Saunders shouldn't waste his breath issuing challenges in Khazakastan.
He should head to Santa Monica, California where Golovkin has bunked up for years.
That's the only place Golovkin will hear him. But I doubt he'll pay attention.

I agree with pretty much everything you’ve written barring one short sentence. There is almost no proof whatsoever of K2 having ever initiated contract negotiations with the vast majority of GGG’s big-name peers, which resulted in Tom Loeffler submitting financial offers for bouts.clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑07 Jul 2019, 09:23It isn't news at all. From a commercial perspective, GGG would have been considered as being the proverbial A-side against almost every single fighter in the 160lbs weight class.
Also Golovkin’s average 1.25m US viewership figures during 2013 far exceeded the vast majority of the 40 fighters that competed in the top 25 most viewed non-PPV HBO & Showtime cable fights televised that year (ahead of the likes of Timothy Bradley, Bernard Hopkins, Andre Ward and Nonito Donaire).
We also need to remember that sometimes it was Team GGG that refused to take fights, as well as both Saunders’ situations I previously mentioned, Golovkin’s handers actually rejected the opportunity to face Peter Quillin, because the American wanted the fight to be awarded to the highest bidding network and promoter, but K2 couldn't permit this since Gennadiy's exclusive contract with HBO forbid him from competing on rival networks.
I’ve had this argument too often and possess far too many posts/evidence that I can retrieve to undermine this common misconception.

Boxing isn't a religion and GGG isn't some sort of religious deity, considered as being a divine or sacred supernatural being. This is the real-world.
Like I said before, if you want to believe in something that isn't supported by evidence, then that's your prerogative.

User Datsue described very well this type of attention seeker-troll like E.O :
" Intelligent or not, he's a complete disingenuous arsehole who cloaks his own opinions in a veneer of bullshit while pretending that he's in fact impartial.
Yet watch him when it's someone he doesn't have a gaping wide-on for in the dock...!
It's like listening to one of those right-wing media types who thinks that saying the word "fact" can simply make inconvenient things that they don't like go away, & that if they keep thrashing things out in a long-winded convoluted fashion you'll lose sight of consensus reality & accept their Byzantine version of events that—despite their constant appeals to some sort of "objectivity"—is only supported by their opinions & their bullshit rhetoric. "
Enjoy it!

The very same misconception or myth about GGG has been repeated over-and-over again to the point that it has eventually displaced the objective truth of reality.
The same “Golovkin has been ducked” lie has been repeated so often that it has become overly-familiar, to the point that it leaves the false impression to mainstream casuals that it must be true, because so many other people seemingly believe in the very same myth.
Repetition increases the acceptance of lies and people become upset whenever someone challenges the validity of the myths they believe in, when they’re confronted with a set of facts they’re unable to refute, then this usually results in them feeling compelled resort to insults, because they’re powerless to do otherwise.
