Nordine Oubaali vs Arthur Villanueva

Post by handsofstone »

Oubaali makes the first defence of his WBC Bantamweight title against former title challenger Villanueva on MTKs Kazakh show on IFL this Saturday, I like Oubaali he's a good boxer and although I thought he finished the fight against Warren well I thought Warren nicked it, although TBH I think I was the only one I seen who thought Oubaali lost, it wasn't a classic and Raushee is too lazy

Villanueva lost a TD in a title fight to McJoe a few years back and I watched him loss a near shut out to Tete on the Khurtsidze/Langford card, Villanueva was also stopped by Nery recently as well, should be a comfortable first defence for Oubaali

Kudos to MTK, they've had British and Commonwealth title fights in the last couple of weeks and now a world title fight, keep it up :box:

Oubaali retains his title after Villanueva quits on his stool after 6 rounds, Oubaali had him down in the 6th from a cracking left uppercut/right hook and gave Villanueva a bit of a beating the rest of the round and you sensed the end was near, it was a good performance from Oubaali, steady pressure round after round, stalking Villanueva around the ring and hitting him with left hands and right hooks, Villanueva never offered much, didn't let his hands go or pressed Oubaali

Oubaali was finding the target more and more as the rounds went on and Villanueva was looking unsettled before the knockdown, he done well enough to make it to the end of the round but I was still surprised to see him bail out like that, I like Oubaali though he's composed and goes about his work well

Enjoy watching Oubaali, very precise fighter and doesn't seem to waste much at all. Bantamweight is a pretty entertaining division!

Don't blame me Jam, blame Raushee Warren, he makes people switch off mentally
